摘要： EZ-Mark Picture Hanging Marker consists of a head that has an adhesive coating on one side and a marking device, like a pin or marker on the other side. On the other side of the marking device is an encasement sleeve that protrudes further than the marker. The adhesive coating of the head is attached to the back of a picture frame or other object that needs hanging. Once the adhesive coating or other attachment mechanism is put in place, the frame may be moved along the wall into the desired location of hanging. The EZ-Hang Picture Hanging Marker user is then able to mark the desired location of where they would like to place their nail by pressing on the picture frame or hanging instrument. Only when significant force is applied to the picture frame, does a marking device protrude from EZ-Hang's encasement sleeve and mark the wall.

The shift lever assembly (112), used as a gravity reference, is activated when the pendulum member swings horizontally in response to slightest inclination or tilt, thereby causing the conductor pin (114.14) to contact one side of a pair of conductor plates (114.24b) or (114.24b). The contacting of the conductor pin to one side of the pair of conductor plates (114.24b) or (114.24b) completes the electrical circuit and allows the electrical storage device (118) to provide electrical current to the planetary motor (116), causing it to rotate. The turning of the planetary motor (116) causes the shift lever assembly (112) to automatically shift the elongated lever arm (112.10) against the rigid axle (122.22), thereby shifting the center of balance of the object in the opposite direction of the rotation of the wheel-like driven gear (112.20). Leveling occurs when the elongated lever arm (112.10) returns to its original vertical orientation, the conductor pin (114.14) is no longer in contact with either side of the pair of conductor plates (114.24a) or (114.24b), and the motor stops turning.

Upon positioning of the object and the marking device fixed thereto into desired mounted position on the wall, application of an axial force to the shaft of the marking device will cause a pointed end thereof to create a mark for insulation of a nail or other fastener in the wall at the point of the mark.
