    • A display shelf for use, for example, in retail stores includes a product-supporting surface and a forwardly positioned display surface extending downwardly and forwardly from the front of the product-supporting surface. A video device with video content is secured to the shelf with the screen of the device visible though an aperture in the display surface and through a second aperture in an advertising sign that covers at least some of the display surface. A proximity sensor is provided to initiate playback of the content stored on the video device when the presence of a customer in the vicinity of the shelf is detected. Control buttons extend through registered openings in the display surface and sign. Each button, when operated, initiates playback of a particular one of the different videos stored on the device. Indicia on the sign adjacent each button provide information about the content of the respective videos. The customer can, by selecting a particular button, play of any one of a number of recordings stored on the video device that the customer wishes to see.

    • An architectural structure capable of generating a virtual polyhedral space includes a plurality of walls, each having a first side edge, a second side edge, and a reflective surface. The walls are disposed adjacent one another, with the first side edge of each wall adjacent the second side edge of an adjacent wall, each wall lying in an associated one of a plurality of planes intersecting at a common apex, thus forming a pyramid shaped structure. So disposed, the walls define an interior space of the architectural structure, with the reflective surfaces of the walls facing the interior space. Each wall further includes a base edge. Together, the base edges of the reflective walls form a support base for supporting the architectural structure on a floor surface. The images of the floor surface in the reflective surfaces of the walls forms a coherent image of a virtual polyhedron. Three-sided, four-sided, and five-sided embodiments are described. Linear and angular measurements of the walls and floors, necessary to create the coherent virtual images, are provided.

In the showcases, a number of juxtaposed mirror images of the objects, which are exhibited in the showcases, are generated along a primary path which is flanked by further, in some cases opposingly arched paths so as to allow viewing of the objects from all sides.
