摘要： An improved self-propelled grain harvester and threshing machine characterized by the sieves, cleaning fan and grain tank being beneath the grain harvester's threshing system which puts the center of gravity in the bottom of the machine and eliminates the need for conveying the grain throughout the machine for cleaning and to the top of the machine for storage. This configuration eliminates several clean grain conveying systems and reduces the length of the reprocess tailings elevator giving the machine a safe low profile and center of gravity when the machine is empty and the center of gravity lowers as the grain tank fills.

摘要： In one example, a system for automatic control of the propulsive speed of a harvesting machine is provided. The system comprises a throughput sensor for determining an expected rate of crop harvested by the harvesting machine in dependence on a position of the harvesting machine and a conversion device configured to calculate a sequence of expected positions of the harvesting machine and, with the expected rate of crop harvested at a position of the harvesting machine, determine a predicted rate of crop harvested by the harvesting machine at the sequence of expected positions of the harvesting machine for use in an optimization problem. Further provided is a speed control device, configured to receive the data relating to the predicted rate of crop harvested at the sequence of expected positions in addition to at least one of data relating the operating state of the harvesting machine, cost function data or secondary condition data, to solve the optimization problem and generate at least one timewise successive sequence of speed commands for setting the propulsive speed of the harvesting machine; and an actuator configured to adjust the propulsive speed of the harvesting machine, the actuator receiving the first speed command of each sequence of speed commands and adjusting the propulsive speed of the harvesting machine.

摘要： A combine harvester comprises a threshing unit arranged to receive and thresh a crop stream. Separating apparatus are located downstream and rearward of the threshing unit and are arranged to receive the threshed crop stream and convey such a rearward direction. The front of a return pan, disposed below the separating apparatus, overlaps the rear of a stratification pan, disposed below the threshing unit. The stratification pan is driven in an oscillating manner to convey a primary grain/chaff stream rearwardly to a rear edge from where the primary grain/chaff stream falls under gravity into a cleaning unit. The return pan is driven in an oscillating manner to convey a secondary grain/chaff stream forwardly to a front edge from where the secondary grain/chaff stream falls under gravity to combine with the primary grain/chaff stream on the stratification pan. The cleaning unit comprises a fan for generating a cleaning airstream which is directed through the falling grain/chaff stream to encourage the lighter material away from the grain. A plurality of crop flow disrupting elements in the form of fins or tines are secured to the underside of the return pan above the stratification pan to disrupt the grain/chaff stream and enhance stratification thereof.

The system includes a generally horizontal fan assembly located atop the harvesting combine for drawing in air, a radiator associated with the engine and over which air flows for engine cooling, and charge air coolers for combustion air cooling, and air conditioning and hydraulic coolers, a centrifugal scroll that takes the drawn in air and removes entrained particles to produce a clean exhaust air and dirty exhaust air; and a filter assembly through which the pre-cleaned exhaust air flows for producing filtered air for admittance into the engine for combustion.
