摘要： A method and an apparatus of supplying a bag are provided in which position information on a bag width in a direction parallel to a conveyance path at a part in a neighborhood of a bag opening of a conveyed bag and position information on a center of the bag width are obtained, an intermittent conveyance distance of a conveyance unit is adjusted based on the position information on the center of the bag width so that the center of the bag width of the bag stopping at a takeoff position is placed on a reference plane, and an interval of the pair of holding members positioned at the takeoff position is adjusted based on the position information on the bag width.

The relay driving section moves the relay conveying section in the forward direction in the first direction, at the same speed as a speed at which the plurality of objects are conveyed in the forward direction of the first direction by the first conveying section, at least while the first pusher moves the plurality of objects in the forward direction of the second direction.

The measuring hopper (42) has a shutter (44). A weight detector (46), along with a shutter actuation mechanism (47), is provided so as to correspond to each measuring hopper (42) and is continuously rotated in conjunction therewith. If, based on a detection signal from the weight detector (46), it is determined that the weight of the material to be packaged that is supplied to the measuring hopper (42) exceeds the upper limit value of the allowable range, the corresponding shutter actuation mechanism (47) is not actuated, and the shutter (44) is maintained closed.

The position of the spout attachment opening on the positioning device is detected by the detection device and is compared to a preset reference position, so that any amount of deviation between the two positions is corrected, thus keeping the height positions of the spout attachment openings of the spout attachment bags changed to a vertical orientation steady.

The horn and the anvil are moved toward and pressed against each other with a predetermined force with a bag mouth b held therebetween. A sensor detects the position of a second mounting block secured to the rear end of a sliding shaft of the anvil, thereby detecting the distance between respective pressing surfaces of the horn and the anvil, i.e. the thickness m of a portion of the bag mouth held between the pressing surfaces. When the thickness m is not less than a predetermined threshold value M, a vibrator is activated to perform sealing. When the thickness m is less than the threshold value M, no sealing is performed.

The article holding members are moved at a velocity of travel that is a combination of velocity of the reciprocating motion and velocity of the rotary transport. The velocity of the rotary transport and the velocity of the reciprocating motion are controlled by a control unit (9). The article holding members travel along the parallel portions on both sides (Lanes A and B) in an intermittent manner, each time covering a distance that is an integral multiple of the installation spacing p of the article holding members.
