    • A seatbelt control apparatus includes seatbelt control means that controls a motor for retracting a seatbelt; and motor current detecting means that detects a current of the motor. The seatbelt control apparatus further includes jamming determination means, indicator detecting means, and threshold value setting means. The jamming determination means determines whether or not the seatbelt is jammed during take-up operation on the basis of whether or not the motor current detected by the motor current detecting means exceeds a threshold value for jamming determination. The indicator detecting means detects an indicator of a current versus load characteristic of the motor. The threshold value setting means sets the threshold value for jamming determination on the basis of the indicator detected by the indicator detecting means.

    • Provided are a seat belt retractor and a seat belt apparatus, which can reduce the emanation of abutment noise upon switching of a clutch. A first embodiment of a seat belt retractor according to the present invention includes a spool for retracting a webbing W to restrain an occupant, a motor for generating drive torque to rotate the spool, a power transmission means for transmitting the drive torque of the motor to the spool, a clutch for connecting or disconnecting the power transmission means and the spool, and a casing for housing the clutch and the power transmission means. The clutch has a pawl rotatably connected to the casing, an actuating pin for rotating the pawl in conjunction with the power transmission means, and a stopper portion for limiting the rotation of the actuating pin.

    • To provide a seat belt winding method, a seat belt retractor, and a seat belt apparatus capable of stopping the motor even when the seat belt is being wound and restarting the winding of the seat belt, and capable of reducing excess repetition of stopping and starting of the motor.A seat belt winding method comprises a start signal detecting step (S1) for detecting a buckle release signal, a starting step (S2) for actuating a motor based on a buckle release signal, an overload detecting step (S3) for detecting overload on the motor, a stopping step (S4) for stopping the motor when overload is detected, a waiting step (S5) for stopping the motor for a certain period of time, a storage checking step (S6) for checking the completion of the winding of the seat belt after a lapse of the certain period of time, and a restart determining step (S7) for counting up the number of times the motor is restarted and terminating the winding operation of the seat belt (S8) when the number of times the motor is restarted reaches a predetermined value.
