摘要： A charger (200) electrically charges a main battery via (10) an electric power conversion path extending through an isolation transformer (260) and providing electrical isolation between an external power supply (400) and the main battery (10) when first and second relays (RL1, RL2) are turned off and a relay (RL3) is turned on. In contrast, the charger (200) electrically charges the main battery (10) via an electric power conversion path bypassing the isolation transformer (260) and providing electrical connection between the external power supply (400) and the main battery (10) when the first and second relays (RL1, RL2) are turned on and the third relay (RL3) is turned off. The charger (200) can thus selectively apply employing the isolation transformer (260) to ensure electrical isolation in externally electrically charging the battery, and bypassing the isolation transformer (260) to give priority to high efficiency in externally electrically charging the battery, as the relays (RL1-RL3) are turned on/off as controlled.

摘要： A hybrid vehicle includes: a catalytic device configured to be electrically heatable to purify exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine; a main power supply device that supplies the motor drive unit with power supply voltage; a power supply device provided for a catalyst, and receiving electric power from the main power supply device and supplying the catalytic device with electric power to heat the catalytic device; and a control device. The control device has a first control mode and a second control mode more immune to variation of the power supply voltage than the first control mode as modes applied to control the motor drive unit. If electric power supplied to the catalytic device from the power supply device for the catalyst is to be changed, the control device previously controls the motor drive unit in the second control mode.

A charging ECU controls the charger and the relay. While the power storage device is charged by the AC power supply, the charging device operates with the operating electric power it receives from the AC/DC converter.

The controller includes a remaining time estimation unit estimating a remaining time up to completion of charging of the electrical storage device by the charger and a control unit, when the estimated remaining time is longer than a predetermined period of time, controlling the voltage converter so that a voltage output from the voltage converter is lower than that during system operation in which the vehicle can travel.

The control device performs pulse width modulation control over the first and second boost converters based on carrier signals equal in frequency and different in phase. The control device obtains an individual value of currents flowing through the first and second boost converters by sampling the detected current value with a time difference corresponding to phase difference.
