    • When a suction/breakdown instruction signal is changed over from a high state to a low state, a vacuum generating electro-magnetic valve is turned on (the vacuum release electro-magnetic valve is closed). If the negative pressure in the pressure tube is equal to or greater than a determining value, suction breakdown confirmation output is turned on. When the delay time has lapsed from this time, the vacuum generating electro-magnetic valve is turned off. When the pressure in the pressure tube is smaller by a predetermined value than the suction determining value, the output of the suction breakdown confirmation is turned off. When the delay time has lapsed since the change-over time from the low state to the high state, the vacuum release electro-magnetic valve is turned on. When the positive pressure in the pressure tube is equal to or greater than the breakdown determining value, the output of the suction breakdown confirmation is set to the high state. When the breakdown time has passed from this time T6, the vacuum release electro-magnetic valve is turned off.

    • A belt of a variator is automatically assembled into a pair of pulleys. The pulleys are held by a pulley holding unit which has a pair of holding members for holding the pulleys such that axial lines of the pulleys become parallel to each other. The pulleys are arranged to be relatively moved such that a sheave half of each of the pulleys is brought into a groove of the other of the pulleys. A belt feeding unit feeds the belt. A belt assembly head pinches the belt to be fed from the belt feeding unit for extending it across the pair of pulleys. The belt assembly head has belt pinching devices and an arrangement for moving the belt pinching devices which pinch an intermediate portion of one side of the belt and an intermediate portion of the other side of the belt. By operating the pinching devices such that one longitudinal end of the belt becomes narrower or larger, one end and the other end of the belt are sequentially assembled into one and the other of the pair of pulleys which are held in a condition in which the sheave half of each of the pulleys is brought into the groove of the other of the pulleys.

    • There are disclosed (i) a purification process for obtaining a human BCDF having the intramolecular disulfide linkage and the stereostructure of natural type human BCDF which comprises subjecting to an oxidation reaction and a refolding treatment a reduced type human BCDF obtained by culturing a microorganism having a human BCDF gene integrated therein and solubilized with guanidine hydrochloride, characterized in that after the oxidation reaction, a gel filtration chromatographic treatment is conducted under the conditions of the guanidine hydrochloride concentration adjusted to 4-7M; (ii) a purification process for obtaining a natural type human BCDF monomer by removing the organic solvent from an organic solvent-containing solution of human BCDF, characterized in that the solution is passed through a gel filtration chromatographic column equilibrated with an organic solvent, followed by eluting according to a stepwise or linear gradient program; and (iii) a human BCDF purification process comprising an ion exchange chromatographic treatment and a reversed phase HPLC step, in combination (i) or (ii). According to these purification processes, it becomes possible to remove the impurities derived from a microorganism and human BCDF analogs, and the thus obtained natural type human BCDF has a high purity and can be utilized for pharmaceutical preparations.

    • The present invention relates to an ultrasonic probe to be inserted into the body of a subject for image-processing a diagnostic target thereof by ultrasonic waves transmitted to and received from the inside of the body and, more particularly, to an internal examination ultrasonic probe which can be directly installed on a palpation finger. The ultrasonic probe includes a transducer array for transmitting and receiving the ultrasonic waves; a housing for supporting the transducer array, which housing is provided with a device for installing a fingertip of an operator therein; and electric wiring members connected to the transducer array and extending from the housing to the outside so that transmission and reception signals of the ultrasonic waves are supplied therethrough. Alternatively, the ultrasonic probe includes a transducer array for transmitting and receiving the ultrasonic waves; a housing for supporting the transducer array, which housing is provided with a device for installing a fingertip of an operator therein; and electric wiring members connected to the transducer array so as to supply transmission and reception signals of the ultrasonic waves therethrough, and the electric wiring members extend from the housing to the outside in such a manner that they are located on a nail side of the fingertip or a side surface adjacent to the nail side when the fingertip is installed in the housing.
