摘要： A method and apparatus for transmitting and receiving a signal in a wireless communication system. The wireless communication system includes a transmitter with at least four transmit antennas and a receiver with at least one receive antenna. Space Frequency Block Coding (SFBC) processes are performed for input signals on a basis of two antenna pairs. Signal blocks whose number corresponds to the number of transmit antennas are output. A Space Time Block Coding (STBC) process is performed for the signal blocks generated according to the antenna pairs. Signals carried by single carriers are transmitted through the at least four transmit antennas mapped to the signal blocks.

摘要： A transmission apparatus and method for a communication system based on Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing-Code Division Multiplexing (OFDM-CDM). A frequency spreader multiplies symbols to be transmitted by a frequency spreading factor and outputs frequency spread symbols whose number corresponds to the frequency spreading factor. Buffers whose number corresponds to the frequency spreading factor temporarily store the frequency spread symbols in a unit of a predefined number of symbols. A time spreader multiplies parallel frequency spread symbols from the buffers by a time spreading factor and outputs frequency-time spread symbols. An Inverse Fast Fourier Transform (IFFT) processor performs IFFT on the frequency-time spread symbols, and outputs an OFDM symbol. A Guard Interval (GI) inserter inserts a GI into a signal output from the IFFT processor and transmits the signal. The system can obtain complete diversity gain and residual gain due to the effect of a time-varying channel in any channel environment.

A base station receives, from mobile stations, feedback information including channel-by-channel transmission rates for a weight vector arbitrarily set by the base station. The base station compares transmission rates of identical channels received from the mobile stations. The base station allocates an associated channel to a mobile station with a large transmission rate and transmits a signal through the allocated channel. The transmission method based on random beamforming can improve fairness and efficiency of a resource allocation by simultaneously allocating different channels to multiple terminals and can increase a total system capacity through the improved fairness and efficiency.

An ISI canceller cancels ISI signal components from first and second received symbol sequences. A cyclicity restorer cancels ICI signal components from the ISI-cancelled first received symbol sequence and the ISI-cancelled second received symbol sequence. A recoverer acquires the recovered sequence estimates of the ICI-cancelled first received symbol sequence and the ICI-cancelled second received symbol sequence by decoding. The ICI cancellation of the ISI-cancelled first and second received symbol sequences and the ISI cancellation of the second received symbol sequence are iterated a predetermined number of times.

The receiver orders symbol combinations transmittable from a transmitter in an ascending order of the difference between the symbol combinations and transmit symbols produced by eliminating inter-symbol interference from a received signal, initializes a symbol combination with the minimum difference to an ML solution, calculates the distance between a first symbol combination and the transmit symbols and the cost of a second symbol combination, detects a symbol combination having a distance to the transmit symbols equal to the distance between the first symbol combination and the transmit symbols, and having a minimum distance, and decides the first symbol combination as the ML solution if the minimum distance exceeds the distance between the first symbol combination and the transmit symbols.

The method includes, when a preamble scanning duration arrives, acquiring preamble information on at least one neighbor BS through preamble scanning.
