摘要： An overcap sprayer assembly and method of its manufacture. The overcap sprayer assembly includes an actuator and an overcap. The actuator has a body and a sprayer arm. The body attaches preferably to the valve cup rim of the can. A skirt extends circumferentially around the perimeter of the body. At least one actuator access port provides access through the skirt to the interior of the body. The sprayer arm of the actuator has a nozzle adapted to direct spray outwardly through an actuator access port. The overcap attaches to the skirt of the actuator body in coaxially turning relation thereto. An overcap wall extends downwardly from the outer margins of the overcap dome, surrounding the actuator body. The overcap also has at least one overcap access port that may be moved between an open position, wherein an overcap access port is aligned with the actuator access port through which the nozzle is adapted to direct spray, and a closed position, wherein the overcap wall obstructs the actuator access port. Preferably a lock member extends from one of the actuator body and the overcap to project into and engage an opposed locking port of the other of the actuator body and overcap. Preferably the locking port is an access port. The lock member has an unlocked position, wherein it is not engaged in an opposed locking port and the overcap may freely turn on the actuator body, and a locked position assumed when the lock member becomes aligned with an opposed locking port, projects thereinto, and engages the opposed locking port, resisting further overcap turning.

摘要： An overcap assembly for a container having a pressure valve or the like, for dispensing a product selectively as a spray or a fog. The assembly has an overcap and a nozzle device which can be attached to the overcap outlet and is rotatable or otherwise movable between two positions relative to the overcap. In one position, a first outlet of the nozzle device communicates with the pressure valve of the container, while a second outlet of the nozzle device does so in the second relative position. One outlet is suitable for producing a spray, while the other is for producing a fog. Preferably, locking members are provided to lock the overcap actuator in a position to hold the container valve open when the nozzle device is in one (but not the other) of the two positions, to ensure complete use of the product in the container. It should also be noted that because of the construction of flange 96 and lip 46, the mere moving of the nozzle device 16 to the fog position does not actuate the container until button 20 is depressed. This prevents accidental actuation which is a problem with other total release systems. Also in the event of accidental actuation, rotation of nozzle device 16 to the spray position will disengage the locking mechanism and stop the dispensing of the contents of the container 14.

摘要： A fragrance sampling display for retail environments is disclosed. The sampling display may include a dock having a removable faceplate and sidewalls. The dock may include one or more receptacles and one or more scent modules, wherein each scent module is associated with and partially inserted into only one of the receptacles. The scent modules may be removably disposed in the corresponding receptacles by retractable cords. Each of the scent modules may include a different volatile active corresponding to a different fragrance product and vent holes to facilitate passive emission of the associated fragrance. The vent holes may be configured so as to be substantially sealed while the associated scent module is in its respective receptacle.
