摘要： An apparatus and method for processing received signals in a handover of a MS in a BWA communication system including a plurality of BSs capable of providing a service to the MS. According to the method, the MS receives signals of different BSs and detects preambles for each BS from the received signals. Further, the MS measures channel quality information corresponding to each of the detected preambles and compares the measured channel quality information with a preset threshold value. Further, the MS processes the signals received from the different BSs based on a result obtained by comparing the measured channel quality information with the preset threshold value.

摘要： An apparatus and a method for interference cancellation in a broadband wireless communication system are provided. A receiving apparatus includes an estimator, a channel compensator, and a demodulator. The estimator estimates channels of a desired signal and at least one interference signal, estimates noise, calculates a mean interference power of each interference signal, and calculates a mean noise power. The channel compensator channel-compensates burst data. The demodulator calculates a noise variance value by adding the mean noise power to the at least one mean interference power and creates Log Likelihood Ratio (LLR) by demodulating the channel-compensated data.

摘要： Disclosed is a method for using various multiple antenna schemes in a baseband wireless access system is provided. According to the method, a downlink MAP message is constructed in order to support various multiple antenna schemes based on a multiple-input multiple output (MIMO), which is one of the multiple antenna schemes, so that compatibility with exiting MIMO technology having no MIMO feedback can be achieved and overhead occurring in transmission of an MAP information element can be reduced. Further, it is possible to efficiently support spatial multiplexing technology capable of transmitting multiple layers having different modulation and coding in a MIMO system.

The method includes dividing a downlink period into a plurality of regions according to a burst property, calculating a residual symbol axis size and a residual subchannel axis size of a first region conforming to two-dimensional allocation among the plurality of regions, allocating bursts to be allocated to the first region in a descending order, wherein the bursts are respectively allocated in a rectangular shape having a length corresponding to the number of residual symbols along a time axis or in a rectangular shape having a length corresponding to the number of residual subchannels along a frequency axis, and allocating bursts to be allocated to at least one region conforming to one-dimensional allocation among the plurality of regions to the at least one region conforming to one-dimensional allocation according to a scheduling priority.

摘要： A TDM (Time Division Multiplexing)-based mobile communication system that switches a service type according to QoS (Quality of Service). The mobile communication system includes a base transceiver system (BTS) and a mobile station (MS) connected to the BTS. The BTS monitors whether a first service provided from the BTS to the MS is satisfied according to whether at least as much data as a predetermined transmission amount is transmitted to the MS. If the first service is dissatisfied, the BTS switches a service to a second service lower in QoS than the first service so that as much data as a transmission amount smaller than the predetermined transmission amount is transmitted to the MS.

摘要： Disclosed is a method for performing a soft handover in a Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) mobile communication system including a mobile station (MS), a serving base station (BS) and a plurality of neighbor BSs, each neighbor BS being different from the serving BS the serving BS providing a service to the MS. According to the method, the MS requests a soft handover to the serving BS when the serving BS detects that the MS must be handed over to one of the neighbor BSs, the serving BS notifies the neighbor BSs of the soft handover of the MS in response to the request for the soft handover, transmits signals to the MS using a predetermined coding scheme and a predetermined frequency region allocation scheme, and the neighbor BSs transmit signals to the MS using the predetermined coding scheme and the predetermined frequency region allocation scheme.
