    • A sliding exhaust brake includes a housing of an exhaust brake body having an exhaust passage with an exhaust pipe provided projectingly on opposite end portions thereof. A platelike valve member with an exhaust pressure regulating hold perforated through its bottom wall surface is installed within a reciprocating way communicating with the exhaust passage. An air cylinder is provided on an upper side end portion of the reciprocating way, and an auxiliary valve member is fitted on a nose portion of a piston rod of the air cylinder passing through a dissepiment with the air cylinder. For closing the exhaust passage, the exhaust pressure regulating hole is closed by the auxiliary valve member from engaging end edge portions of salient walls provided on the nose portion of the auxiliary valve member with the platelike valve member intermediately thereof to push in one direction. For opening, the end edge portions are separated therefrom and slide on the surface of the platelike valve member to disclose the exhaust pressure regulating hole.

    • Herein disclosed is a valve actuator which is to be used with a slide exhaust brake system. The valve actuator includes a cylinder casing which is constructed of: a shortened cylinder body having a length substantially equal to the sliding distance of a piston member fitted therein; and a cylindrical wall fixed on the inner side of the bottom wall of the cylinder body such that the cylinder body has its lower end merging around its circumference into the circumference of the upper end of the cylindrical wall. The heat to be transferred from the exhaust brake system to the actuator is effectively reduced by a thermal impulse at the fixing portion between the cylinder body and the cylindrical wall to exert less thermal influences upon the packing of the piston member. Moreover, the cylinder casing of the actuator can be formed simply by cutting an elongated cylinder member having its inner circumference subjected to a necessary treatment and by fixing the cut cylinder member to the cylindrical wall having its inner circumference left untreated.

    • The present invention relates to a charge device for charging secondary batteries, particularly for a camera to which a system for charging secondary batteries by means of electromagnetic coupling is applied. In the charge system in accordance with the present invention, the shutter curtain control magnet at the side of the camera is used as the secondary coil in such a manner that the above charging system can be applied to the camera by means of a simple construction. The purpose of such construction is to prevent over-charging by automatically stopping the charging when the secondary battery has been charged up to a certain determined level or controlling the charging time by means of a timer.
