摘要： Verification of an inventory of stored products may be achieved by obtaining an image of the stored products and using text, optical character, and other feature recognition techniques to determine product identification and storage location. A comparison between earlier and current images of the same storage location is used to identify which locations have changed, i.e., from which locations have products been moved, removed, or added. The earlier and current images of the changed locations may be displayed to a user to visually inspect the differences between the images and verify the changes in inventory represented by those differences.

摘要： A system continually monitors service requests and detects service abuses. First, a screening list is created to identify potential abuse events. A screening list includes event IDs and associated count values. A pointer cyclically selects entries in the table, advancing as events are received. An incoming event ID is compared with the event IDs in the table. If the incoming event ID matches an event ID in the screening list, the associated count is incremented. Otherwise, the count of a selected table entry is decremented. If the count value of the selected entry falls to zero, it is replaced with the incoming event. Event IDs can be based on properties of service users, such as user identifications, or of service request contents, such as a search term or message content. The screening list is analyzed to determine whether actual abuse is occurring.

摘要： A method and system are provided for collecting images of objects at geographic locations for publication in an online directory, such as online Yellow Pages. A camera and a GPS receiver, both receiving time information from a synchronized clock, are mounted on a vehicle. Time-stamped images captured by the camera and time-stamped geographic locations (e.g., longitude and latitude coordinates) determined by the GPS receiver are recorded. Each image is then associated with a geographic location based on corresponding respective time-stamps. Thereafter, each image is correlated with a street addresses based on each image's associated geographic location, for example by referring to a lookup table that correlates addresses with geographic coordinates. The address-correlated images may then be used in an online directory, where each listing (e.g., business) can be displayed with an image of an object (e.g., store front) taken at the address in the listing.
