The image forming units are disposed facing towards the transfer belt device. 摘要： The focus adjustment support device is mounted on a lens apparatus included in an image pickup system for supporting the focus adjustment of the lens apparatus. The image pickup system comprises: an image pickup apparatus having a lens apparatus including focus adjusting section requiring a manual adjustment; and, a case member disposed at a given position for covering at least the image pickup range of the lens apparatus and focus adjusting section, while a portion of the case member corresponding to the image pickup range of the lens apparatus is made of a first light transmissible member having a given optical characteristic. The focus adjustment support device includes a second light transmissible member, and mounting and holding section not only for holding the second light transmissible member but also for mounting the focus adjustment support device onto the lens apparatus in such a manner that the focus of the lens apparatus can be manually adjusted using the focus adjusting section. The second light transmissible member is formed to have an optical characteristic which, in a state where the focus adjustment support device is mounted on the lens apparatus, can provide the same image forming position as in a state where the case member is disposed at a given position.

A plurality of image forming units face the belt, and each includes an image carrier and a developing device and a cleaning device arranged around the image carrier. The belt is inclined such that one of opposite runs thereof adjoining the image forming units has opposite ends positioned at different levels from each other. The cleaning device of each image forming units is positioned at a higher level than the developing device.

摘要： The present invention relates to an electrophotographic color image forming apparatus using a tandem-drum development, an indirect image-transfer method, and a vertical sheet supply path. An intermediate image-transfer member is angled relative to a horizontal line such that a rear side of the intermediate image-transfer member away from a recording sheet is lifted and a front side of the intermediate image-transfer member closer to the recording sheet is lowered. Further, image creating mechanisms of the tandem-drum development are aligned and arranged in parallel to a moving image transfer bed of the intermediate image-transfer member, such that one of the image creating mechanisms firstly forming an image faces the rear side of the moving image transfer bed and another one of the image creating mechanisms lastly forming an image faces the front side.
