摘要： C.sub.3 and higher olefins are oligomerized using a two component catalyst system comprising (a) a soluble adduct of zirconium tetrahalide, the halogen being Br or Cl, with an organic compound selected from the group of esters, ketones, ethers, amines, nitriles, anhydrides, acid chlorides, amides or aldehydes, the organic compound having up to about 30 carbon atoms and (b) an alkyl metal selected from the group R.sub.2 AlX, RAlX.sub.2, R.sub.3 Al.sub.2 X.sub.3, R.sub.3 Al and R.sub.2 Zn where R is C.sub.1 -C.sub.20 alkyl and X is Cl or Br. ZrCl.sub.4 adducts with organic acetates are the preferred embodiments. Dimers, trimers and tetramers are selectively prepared in the process.

摘要： A low profile knee-tilt chair control for controlling biased tilting between a chair seat plate and a chair base plate of a pedestal base chair wherein the chair base plate is supported by a single vertical spindle at the rear of the base plate, and the chair seat plate pivots about a horizontal axis at the front of the base plate. The chair seat is biased to an at-rest position by a low profile, conical helical compression spring operable between the base plate and chair seat and located between the spindle and the horizontal pivot axis of the base plate. The low profile, conical helical compression spring is so mounted relative to the base plate and chair seat plate that the small coils of the compression spring may pass through the large coils during compression of the spring. The control is further characterized by a lockout for securing the chair seat plate against tilting relative to the base plate in either of two different, selectable, at-rest positions.

摘要： A decorative and protective cover for covering the end of a towing hitch tube which is exposed when the drawbar that is used for towing a trailer is removed from the hitch tube. The cover is a one-piece molded plastic part that has a covering portion comprising an end wall that is disposed in end covering relation to the end of the hitch tube and an integral attaching portion that projects from a central region of the cover end wall for releasably attaching the cover to the hitch tube. The cover further includes a top wall and side walls that are in top and lateral covering relation to the hitch tube. It also has a partial bottom wall that is an underlying relation to the hitch tube but contains a centrally located notch that provides access to the attaching portion for unlatching the attaching portion from the hitch tube when it is desired to remove the cover. The attaching portion comprises a tubular wall fitting closely into the hitch tube and an integral catch that snaps into a hole in the hitch tube which is used for pinning the drawbar to the hitch tube when the drawbar is in use. The cover also contains covering provisions for covering safety chain attachment holes that are provided to either side of the hitch tube. Advantageously the cover is fabricated as an injection molded plastic part from a tough, durable plastic such as polypropylene.

摘要： The lift unit comprises a bracket portion that is secured to the trailer tongue and a hinge portion that pivots on the bracket portion about a horizontal axis to raise and lower a chain for flexing and relaxing a spring bar that when flexed, serves to transfer a portion of the tongue weight to the towing vehicle. A flat rectangular member is eccentrically mounted on the side of the hinge portion to hang in the 6:00 o'clock position unless acted upon by influences other than gravity. When the hinge portion is operated to raise the chain and thereby flex the spring bar, a longer side of the rectangular member abuts and rides along the edge of a side of the bracket portion resulting in the member being swung clockwise to about the 8:00 o'clock position when full chain elevating position is reached. At this time one corner of the member drops into a notch in the bracket portion and prevents the hinge portion from being operated in the direction of chain lowering. The member is kept in this position by passing a tethered pin through the member and the hinge. When the pin is removed, the member can be swung further clockwise to about 4:00 o'clock to enable the chain to be lowered. The edge of the bracket's side acts on the member during chain lowering to swing the member counterclockwise back to 6:00 o'clock thereby automatically resetting the member for automatic locking when the chain is again raised.

摘要： A weight distribution trailer hitch which has a pair of spring rods pivotally connected at their forward ends on vertical-axis pivot means adjacent the hitch ball and at their rear ends in a tension relation to the trailer tongue. Cooperating means on the spring rods and the pivot means prevent the axial displacement of the forward end portions of the spring rods from the pivot means and includes a retaining clip mounted on the pivot means. The retaining clip has a leg that is biased radially inwardly into the pivot means and into a groove formed in the spring rod. Insertion of the end portion into the pivot means forces the leg outwardly which then is urged into the groove when they are aligned.
