    • The present invention discloses an electromechanical actuator arrangement and a driving device for such an arrangement, having a plurality of drive element to be driven according to a wailing mechanism is provided. The driving device is characterised by an electrical power source (170) and at least two switches (172a, 172b) connected in series between the terminals (177) of the voltage source (170). An element terminal (178) is connected to a point (175) between said switches (172a, 172b), and a motor phase (174) of the actuator arrangement is connected to the element terminal (178). A control unit (171) is connected to control the switches (172a, 172b) in order to charge/discharge the drive elements. A charge control is thereby achieved by the use of the two switches (172a, 172b).

    • The present invention discloses motors using electromechanical, preferably piezoelectric, elements (30). The element (30) comprises at least two movable parts or displacement portions (32A, 32B) interconnected by a passive part (31). Each displacement section (32A, 32B) comprises at least one bimorph (33A, 33B), where the active volumes extend in parallel out from the passive part (31), and so are the electrodes (12) arranged between the electromechanical layers. The displacement portions (32A, 32B) are positioned in substantially the same plane and parallel to the body (20) to be moved. Contact portions are arranged at the central passive part (31) and at the displacement portions (32A, 32B). In one embodiment, the central contact portion is an actuating surface (34C) and the other are attaching portions (36A, 36B) for attachment to a stator (24). In another embodiment, the central contact portion is an attaching portion and the other are actuating surfaces. The actuating surfaces (34C) are in both cases movable relative to the attaching portions (36A, 36B) in two dimensions.

    • A frequency-selective surface designed to transmit (allow to pass through) electromagnetic radiation around one or more predetermined transmission frequencies. The frequency-selective surface comprises at least two layers, whereby the outer layer is made up of at least one electromagnetic reflecting layer with a periodic pattern of conductive elements. The periodic pattern of conductive elements is made to have a reflection resonance frequency for electromagnetic radiation which is of the order of three times higher than the desired transmission frequency. The inner layer is placed at a suitable predetermined distance from the outer layer. The inner layer is made up of at least one electromagnetic transmitting layer having a periodic pattern of aperture elements. The periodic pattern of aperture elements is made in order to have a transmission resonance frequency for electromagnetic radiation which is substantially the same as the desired transmission frequency.

    • Systems and methods are disclosed for in-line removal of duplicate network packets in network packet streams operating at high speeds (e.g., 1-10 Gbps and above). A hash generator applies at least one hash algorithm to incoming packets to form one or more different hash values. The packet deduplication systems and methods then use the one or more hash values for each incoming packet to identify data stored for previously received backs and use the identified data to determine if incoming packets are duplicate packets. Duplicate packets are then removed from the output packet stream thereby reducing duplicate packets for downstream processing. A deduplication window can further be utilized to limit the amount of data stored for previous packets based upon one or more parameters, such as an amount of time that has passed and/or a number of packets for which data has been stored. These parameters can also be selected, configured and/or adjusted to achieve desired operational objectives.

    • An electromechanical motor includes an actuator assembly and a body to be driven in a driving direction. The actuator assembly has an actuator backing, a first actuator and a second actuator. The actuators are mechanically attached by a respective single attachment to the actuator backing at a first end of the actuators.
