    • In a ladder-type piezoelectric filter, attenuation in stop bands on a low frequency side and a high frequency side are increased while a pass band is widened. The ladder-type piezoelectric filter is made up by alternately connecting parallel arms and series arms. The parallel arms are respectively made up by serially connecting parallel resonators and LC element networks, and the series arms are respectively made up of series resonators. The LC element networks are respectively made up so as to be inductive in resonant frequencies of the serially connected parallel resonators. Further, the LC element networks include capacitors which contribute to formation of a new series resonant point in the stop band on the high frequency side.

    • An image forming apparatus for forming an image on a recording medium is disclosed. The image forming apparatus includes a print head (4) having an ink emitting surface (6) in which there are formed a plural number of ink emitting openings (13). An ink is emitted from the ink emitting openings (13) for forming an image on a recording medium. The image forming apparatus also includes an emission controller (41) for controlling the ink emission from the ink emitting openings (13) formed in the ink emitting surface (6). The emission controller (41) is responsive to an input image signal to control the quantity of preliminary ink emission from one or more of the ink emitting openings (13) or to select one or more of the ink emitting openings (13). In this manner, the quantity of the preliminary ink emission from the ink emitting openings (13) is controlled, or one or more of the ink emitting openings (13) is selected, responsive to the image signal, to diminish the wasteful ink emission and to clean the ink emitting openings (13) or the vicinity without damaging the ink emitting surface (6).

    • Continuous sequin strip having a multiplicity of continuously-connected sequins is let out from a reel and then placed on the upper surface of a supporting plate. Sequin feeder apparatus feeds the sequin strip at a predetermined pitch corresponding to a size of a sequin of the continuous sequin strip through advancing and retracting movement of a feed lever interlocked to sewing operation of a needle bar of a sewing machine. The feed lever includes two engaging portions for engaging a predetermined sequin of the strip to feed the strip. With the two engaging portions engaging at least two points of the sequin, the sequin can be fed out reliably irrespective of the position of the sewing hole formed in the sequin. Thus, even sequins, each having the sewing hole eccentrically offset in a direction perpendicular to a sequin-strip feeding direction, can be fed out at the predetermined pitch with an increased reliability.
