    • A vacuum cleaner assembly comprising a body, a motor disposed within the body and having an output shaft for rotating about axis, a fan coupled to the output shaft for generating a vacuum airflow through an air intake port in the body, and a separator coupled to the output shaft. The separator includes a cup shaped body and a flange extending radially from the open top to an outer periphery. The separator includes a spider, integrated therewithin, having a hub portion surrounding the shaft, and a plurality of helical blades integral with and extending radially from the hub portion to the vanes and integral with the wall. The separator is one piece molded component that may provide for better turbulence characteristics during suction of the air, increase the centrifugal forces to separate the dust and debris from the air flow.

    • The separator has a bottom (12), a cylindrical body with turbine blades (15), and a sealing ring (11) at the upper end. The separator is made of segments or of an integral one piece. The segment of the separator (10) is manufactured as a turbine wheel, where the radial supports (17) have a periphery (16), on which periphery (16) are disposed uniformly and approximately radially turbine blades (15) having a slightly inclined outer part in the counter-rotation direction. The sealing ring (11) has radial supports (17) and a ring (19), and at the bottom of the lid (1a) it has airflow directing means (20) manufactured as extensions inclined from the periphery towards the radius.

    • A vacuum system which uses water as a filtration medium to effectively capture dirt and dust particles. The vacuum system uses a canister or tank, which can be placed on a wheeled mobile frame for mobility. Within the tank, a removeable insert includes a number of equally spaced annular plates with a first of the annular plates fitting snugly against the outside wall of the tank and the next plate fitting snugly against the outside wall of a central cylindrical column. The plates then continue to alternate from outside wall of the tank to the outside wall of the column to form alternating gaps and, thus, a serpentine airflow path. The bottom portion of the tank is filled with a quantity of water sufficient to cover the bottom of an air intake port. A blower draws air, along with accompanying debris, from the intake port through the water. The water filtered air, which now contains a considerable quantity of entrained water, is then drawn through the serpentine path wherein the resulting varying air speeds, along with the eddy currents generated by this path, effectively remove the entrained water from the air.
