Heat (4) is produced by a catalytic heating element (5) which is energised by a liquid fuel, the hot air flow (2) being produced by an electric fan (7). The inventive device (1) is provided with a fuel cell (8) which supplies electric power to the fan (7). Said device comprises a tank (10) for the liquid fuel connected with the aid of a valve (11) to the fuel cell (8) and the heating element (5) in such a way that they are jointly supplied with the liquid fuel (6).

The valve is received in the handle. The valve defines a passage through which fuel can flow from the reservoir into the combustion chamber for combustion. The thermal controller includes a memory element at least partially received in the combustion chamber and a rod connected between the memory element and the valve for controlling a rate at which fuel can flow through the passage defined in the valve based on the temperature in the combustion chamber. The memory element is a helical memory metal element. The memory element shrinks or expands when the temperature increases above a certain value.

The control stem of a regulation element moves axially within the central body.The central body can be molded of plastic as a single integral piece. Since this central body serves so many functions and, yet, can be molded as a single integral piece, it reduces the cost of manufacture of the burner of this invention.

The regulating member includes a metal flap for regulating the flow of the mixture to be burned in the catalytic burner. This flap, for example a heat-sensitive bimetallic strip, can move between two positions, namely a first position in which the mixture to be burned is stored in the device or discharged in the manner of a leakage through an orifice in a wall of the heating device, and a second position which allows a maximum flow rate of the mixture to pass through the catalytic burner. The invention applies to all types of heating devices with a catalytic burner.

摘要： An internal-combustion type iron has a nozzle provided in a grip portion so as to spray a jet of gas supplied from a liquified-gas tank into a hollow barrel. The hollow barrel has a base portion fitted to the grip portion and communicating with the nozzle. An air hole is provided in the base portion of the barrel so that the outside air may be sucked into and be mixed with the gas from the nozzle. A gas flow control body is disposed in the center of a hollow portion of the barrel generates a stagnant vortex flow in the flow of the mixture of the gas and air. A mixing chamber is provided in the hollow portion of the barrel between the air hole and the gas flow control body. The mixing chamber has a length sufficient for the required mixing of the gas with air and for stabilization of flow velocity. A heating chamber is provided in the hollow portion of the barrel between the gas flow control body and an exhaust port provided at the tip of the barrel. The heating chamber has a length sufficient for the required heating of the barrel by the combustion gas. The stagnant vortex flow of the gas mixture is generated at a predetermined distance from the nozzle by the gas flow control body and is ignited with the flame being maintained at this point.
