    • An electrical card connector (1) includes a housing (10) receiving a plurality of terminals (11) therein, a frame (12) which is slidably engagable with the housing for supporting an electrical card (2), and a switch device (13) for detecting full insertion of the electrical card. The housing comprises a block (102) protruding beyond a front face thereof for retaining the switch device thereto. The switch device has a switch mounting clip (131) with a base (132) soldered to a printed circuit board (PCB) (3). A spring switch lever (134) protrudes from the switch mounting clip and has a curved upper contact portion (135) and a curved lower contact portion (138) extending from a lower side of the upper contact portion for electrically connecting with the PCB when the electrical card reaches a full insertion position.

    • A series unit capable of easily changing over a undirectional state to/from a bidirectional state and easily judging which state the series unit is in, is provided. A high pass filter 9 and a changeover switch 5 are included, and an operating protrusion 5a of the changeover switch 5 is provided in a circular recess 10 of a panel 2 formed to surround an F-type terminal 4 provided on a front surface. A cylindrical adapter 6 inserted into the circular recess 10 is provided so as to operate the operating protrusion 5a. The adapter 6 has a notch 6a which is provided on one side portion of the adapter 6 and which does not press the operating protrusion 5a. By inserting the adapter 6 while rotating the adapter and changing an angle, a unidirectional state can be changed over to/from a bidirectional state. In addition, a mark 16a indicating a position of the operating protrusion 5a is provided on the panel 2 and a mark 15 indicating a notch position is provided on an end portion on a front surface of the adapter 6.

    • An electrical connector comprises an insulative housing, a number of terminals, a pair of switch members, and a door assembled into the housing. The housing comprises opposing top and bottom walls, two side walls, and front and rear walls. A mating opening is defined through the front wall and a receiving cavity is defined in the housing and in communication with the mating opening. Each terminal has a free contact portion extending into the receiving cavity and moveable by a mating connector. Each switch member comprises a securing portion secured to the rear wall of the insulative housing and a depending portion extending from the securing portion for electrically connecting with a corresponding terminal. The door is pivotally mounted in the top wall of the housing, and comprises a main body abutting against the depending portion of the switch member. In a first position, when no mating connector is inserted into the receiving cavity, the depending portion of each switch member is biased outwardly by a pushing force from a corresponding terminal. In a second position, when an inserted mating connector has been inserted, the terminals are pushed downward away from the switch members, and the door is pushed rearward, exerting an opposite biasing force inward against the switch members. Thus the switch members are subject to two opposite biasing forces, helping them maintain resiliency over a longer period.
