    • A breaker device excellent in safety and contained in a compact casing. In a casing 1, a pair of fixed electrodes 11a, 11b is projected, and a movable electrode 31, which is fitted with and detached from the fixed electrodes, is arranged. A handle 40 is inclinably supported by a supporting shaft 45. On the top surface of an upper casing 3, a pair of poles 70 is erected, and rectangular solid sliding projections 71 are projected, while guiding grooves 73 are formed in side faces of the handle 40. In each of the guiding grooves 73, an arc-shaped portion allowing the sliding projection 71 to rotate about the supporting shaft 45 is provided at an upper end of a linear portion which allows the sliding projection 71 only to slide therealong. When the movable electrode 31 is inserted with the handle being erected, the sliding projections are guided by the linear portions, while the handle 40, maintained in an erected state, is inserted. When both the electrodes are normally fitted, the sliding projections 71 reach the arc-shaped portions and relatively introduce thereinto, whereby the handle 40 can be inclined.

    • Terminals for a low-cost connector apparatus, and the connector apparatus using the terminals, are provided. Each of the connection portions of the terminals for connecting wiring materials is formed by cutting an electrically conductive pipe material into a specific length and then crimping flat one end thereof. The uncrimped end retains its cylindrical shape, and is formed into a fit-engagement portion into which another terminal is inserted to make current conduction possible. The connector apparatus comprises a first base member having a main portion and a stepped portion, a side wall of the main portion being substantially perpendicular to a top surface of the stepped portion. A second base member, matable with the said first base member, is also provided. Burial holes are provided in the first base member near the stepped portion, and the inventive terminals are disposed therein. Opening portions are disposed in the side wall of the main portion near the burial holes, to allow the terminals to be inserted. Slits are disposed adjacent the burial holes between the burial holes and the opening portions. Stoppers are insertable into the slits. When inserted, the stoppers fix the terminals in the burial holes and close the opening portions.

    • A switch control assembly (26) located in an instrument panel (28) of a vehicle (20) includes a switch assembly (54) which is actuatable between an actuated condition and an unactuated condition. A housing (52) which encloses the switch assembly (54) is connected with the instrument panel (28) by a latch assembly (78). The latch assembly (78) is operable between an engaged condition retaining the housing (52) in the instrument panel (28) and a disengaged condition in which the latch assembly is ineffective to retain the housing in the instrument panel. An actuator member (32) is connected with the switch assembly (54) and is rotatable relative to the housing (52) to actuate the switch assembly. The actuator member (32) can also be rotated relative to the housing (52) to operate the latch assembly (78) to the disengaged condition to release the housing for movement relative to the instrument panel (28). When the latch assembly (78) is in the disengaged condition, the actuator member (32) can be manually pulled to move the housing (52) and the switch assembly (54) out of the instrument panel (28).

    • An electrical switch comprises a housing provided with at least one fixed contact part and one switching contact part, which moves in cooperation therewith. At least one actuating element is movably mounted in the housing. The actuating element influences switching positions of the switching contact part. Also disclosed is a camform which defines the switching positions and which interacts with a spring-loaded plunger associated with the actuating element in order to create operating forces. Moreover, a displaceable spring-loaded retaining device is disposed within the housing which enables the electrical switch to be held firmly in a locked position. Finally, at least one actuating element cooperates with a retaining device through a transfer device so that by use of increased force, the actuating element is brought into a functional position which does not correspond with any of the switching positions. The retaining device is brought into its unlocked position when the actuating element is in its functional position.
