    • A high-pressure pump includes a plunger reciprocating in conjunction with rotation of a rotational shaft to be able to change a volume of a pressurizing chamber and a control valve having a first valve body and a second valve body disposed in a fuel suction passage that communicates with the pressurizing chamber and supplies/blocks fuel to/from the pressurizing chamber by displacing the valve body in an axial direction by switching between energization and non-energization of a coil. An ECU adjusts a fuel discharge amount of the high-pressure pump by switching a valve opening and a valve closing of the control valve by the energization control of the coil. The ECU detects movement of the valve body with respect to a drive command of the valve opening or the valve closing of the control valve and executes an actuation determination of the high-pressure pump on the basis of a detection result.

    • A multi-valve fuel injection system comprising an electronic unit pump for outputting high pressure fuel; a low pressure fuel pipe for inputting fuel into the plunger cavity of the electronic unit pump; a fuel supply cam for propelling the movement of the plunger of the electronic unit pump to produce high pressure fuel; at least two electronically controlled fuel injectors for injecting fuel; high pressure fuel injection pipe connecting the electronic unit pump and the electronically controlled fuel injectors for transporting the high pressure fuel outputted form the electronic unit pump to the electronically controlled fuel injectors, respectively, for controlling the electronic unit pump and the opening and closing of solenoid valves in the fuel injectors. The fuel injection system can achieve large range fuel injection and high circulating response. Also disclosed is a fuel injection method for the multi-valve fuel injection system.

    • A radial piston pump (1) for supplying fuel at high-pressure to an internal combustion engine has a displacement housing (3) equipped with a compression chamber (4), a reciprocating piston which is arranged in a cylinder chamber (5) of a cylinder (30), a suction valve (10) which is connected to a fuel supply line (8) and a pressure valve (12) which is connected to a fuel outlet line (14). The suction valve (10) and the pressure valve (12) have, respectively, a closing head (16, 16′), a valve seat (18, 18′), a cylinder section (20, 20′) and springs (22, 22′). The suction valve (10) and the pressure valve (12) are identical components and the pressure valve (12) is incorporated into the radial piston pump (1) in the direction of flow counter to the suction valve (10).
