    • A self-propelled trolley and supporting track structure, the trolley forming a housing for a four wheel drive mechanism which is coupled to a driving motor attached to the housing and to a pair of axles each equipped with a pair of driving and supporting wheels adapted to engage transversely spaced track surfaces of the track structure. The track structure comprises a pair of transversely spaced channel section track members, each having upper and lower flanges terminating in guide surfaces and connected by a vertical web, the guide surfaces of one track member facing the guide surfaces of the other. The track surface are formed by the upper flanges of the track members and the guide surfaces are engageable by pairs of guide wheels appended to the trolley below the housing. A conductor bar assembly enclosed within the track members is engaged by collector shoes attached to the trolley.

    • A golf cart system which can be installed on the fairway of a golf course and which is excellent in power economy and anti-overturn effect. The golf cart system includes a track embedded in the ground and a cart running on the track. According to the golf cart system, since the track width exposed at the ground is very narrow, there is little chance of a golf ball hitting against the track. Even if a golf ball should happen to accidentally hit the exposed track portion, the ball will bound similarly as when striking on natural grass if the exposed track portion is covered by elastic members such as artificial turf. This makes it possible to install the golf cart system on the fairway of a golf course. In addition, since the anti-overturn rollers are so arranged that they elastically press onto the side walls of the track, the load acting between the driving wheels and the track is only the dead weight of the cart itself and therefore no excessive frictional force acts therebetween.

    • A track assembly for mounting a welding head assembly onto a pipe for the purpose of welding the pipe. The track assembly includes a flexible annular base which is to be located about the pipe in close proximity to the exterior surface of the pipe but spaced therefrom. Located between the annular base and the pipe are a plurality of spaced-apart foot pad assemblies. Each foot pad assembly includes a pair of contact pads which function to exert a continuous spring force between the annular base and the pipe. Each contact pad is connected to a separate spring assembly which can be mutually adjusted to vary the amount of spring force between the flexible annular base and the pipe. Mounted on the exterior surface of the annular base is a track which is to connect with the welding head assembly upon which the welding head operates to move circumferentially about the pipe. A latching assembly in the form of an over-center latching mechanism is used to secure together the free ends of the annular base.

    • The roadway support of a steel roadway for magnetic tracks includes a cover plate (3) as an upper securing member which at the lower side of its two extending longitudinal edges is welded a side guiderail (4). In their crossing region, the longitudinal supports (5) and the cross-supports (8) incorporate oppositely directed cutouts (9) and (10). The longitudinal support is fastened to only one of the two perpendicular side edges of the cutout (10) in the cross-support (8) through a welding seam (17) (FIG. 3).
