摘要： A multi-segment sole structure for use in footwear may be constructed of rigid segments positioned to correspond to one or more weight-bearing areas of the foot and flexible segments positioned to correspond to one or more less weight bearing or flexible areas of a foot. The flexibility may be provided by elastomeric materials, living hinges, or mechanical hinges. The sole structure may include a lower support base which may have hollow segments alternating with rigid or flexible supports. The rigid segments of the sole may be supported by rigid supports. The rigid segments may be wood. The conjoined interfaces may be perpendicular to the surface. A rigid segment may overhang a flexible segment or a flexible segment may overhang a rigid segment.

摘要： A footwear stabilizing system is provided. The system comprises an upper and a sole attached to the upper. The sole comprises an outsole comprising an inner surface formed in a biomechanically correct shape and an insert attached to the outsole, the insert comprising at least one of single piece of material and a fluid-filled bag. The insert is configured to conform to and stabilize a human foot upon impact. The outsole is configured to match a common curvature of a heel and arch of the foot. The insert is constructed of and/or contains non-Newtonian material. The outsole is configured with a shaped heel cup configured to absorb impact across entire heel. The outsole works in conjunction with the insert to provide foot stabilization and arch support. The insert reacts at each step to foot shape and provides support upon impact.

摘要： A sole for shoes is provided which provides a resilient, shock-absorbing and gradual impact of the foot with the ground. The insoles on the surface facing the foot, has a plurality of parallel, mobile blocks, supported by springs, preferably spiral springs, of different stiffness, preferably in the ratio 9-4-5 corresponding respectively to the heel, the plantar arch and the metatarsus areas, located within cavities made in the rigid or semi-rigid sole. The outsole, which is connected to the insole by glueing or molding and which faces the ground, is made of an elastomeric material and has three protrusions connected transversely and arranged the first beneath the joints, the second under the metatarsus and the third under the heel respectively. The insole group containing cavities, springs and blocks is kept in position by an annular welt fixed to the sole by screws. Any type of vamp, especially the open type suitable for sandals, may be used with the sole.
