摘要： A control device having a reciprocable drive element connected to a record command disc, a pick-up arm set down position selection member, and a guide element pivotally connected to the drive element for engaging a coupling element on a pick-up arm base to guide the pick-up arm pivoting toward the turntable. The guide element is pivotable with respect to the drive element between two stable positions. In the first stable position during forward movement of the drive element, the guide element passes an abutment on the pick-up arm base, and is then pivoted to the second stable position. During a turn movement of the drive element, the guide element first pivots the pick-up arm into abutment with a set-down position selection surface, and the guide element then pivots out of engagement with the abutment. Upon completion of the drive element return movement, the guide element is pivoted into the first stable position.

摘要： An automatic record player having an improved mechanism for automatically swinging the pickup arm to and from the playing position. The mechanism comprises a large gear having a non-toothed portion engageable with a small gear adapted to be driven by a motor, starting means adapted to bring the large gear into engagement with the small gear, and a movable plate adapted to be moved together with the pickup arm along a path of travel which runs above the large gear. To the large gear is pivotally attached a member for swinging the pickup arm, under control of a disc-size switching means, from a resting position to the playing position in association with the rotation of the large gear. The large gear may be provided with a cam portion for bringing the pickup arm from the playing position back to the resting position in association with the rotation of the large gear. Consequently, the swinging motion of the pickup arm is controlled substantially directly by the large gear without necessitating the aid of other intermediate members, thereby ensuring an enhanced reliability and a lowered cost of production of the record player.

The rotating member being rotated in the result, that the projection is pushed by the first portion of the pushing means in a state where unnecessary revolution thereof is obstructed by the second portion.

The record changer includes a rotatable turntable, a spindle for holding a stack of records above the turntable, a tone arm assembly for playing the records, and a changer mechanism which is operably connected with the spindle and the tone arm assembly. The changer mechanism includes a cam wheel which is rotatable by the turntable when the record changer is started and after each record has been played, and a slide arm connected to the cam wheel for moving the tone arm to a start position. When the last record has been played, stop members movable by the cam wheel turn the unit off. The tone arm assembly includes a friction clutch which cooperates with a record size indicator mechanism to move the tone arm to the proper start position depending upon the size of the records being played.

The record changer has the operating parts designed and interrelated to perform maximum number of functions with a minimum number of parts which are easily assembled without the use of a number of mounting screws for the parts, including a cycle gear which derives power for a record change cycle from the turntable and which operates a rocker arm and has a single cam for powering the plurality of operating levers.
