    • A method and apparatus for displaying an image on a rotatable wheel. A computer processing system is mounted on an inward face of an overcap mountable on the rotatable wheel. Light emitters are mounted on an outward face of the overcap, the light emitters responsive to light emission signals from the computer central processing system. A slip ring assembly is axially mounted on an inward face of the rotatable wheel, the slip ring assembly adapted to provide electrical power to the computer processing system. A trolley assembly is fixedly mounted to a chassis such that the trolley assembly is axially aligned with the slip ring assembly, the trolley assembly adapted to couple the electrical power to the slip ring assembly. Displayable image signals are provided to the computer processing system, the computer processing system adapted to transmit the light emission signals corresponding to the image to the light emitters.

    • A system for providing illuminated displays on a vehicle or wheel assembly includes one or more tire marking devices for integration with tire sidewalls or vehicle wheels. Such tire marking devices may include a plurality of point lights sources (such as LEDs or OLEDs operating at one or more wavelengths) arranged in a predetermined array configuration, a microprocessor coupled to each of the plurality of point light sources, a power source for powering the microprocessor and/or other device elements, and a timing sensor configured to provide one or more timing signals to the microprocessor. The timing signals generated by the timing sensor preferably include sufficient information to determine the rotational rate and relative position of the plurality of light sources. The microprocessor controls the flash sequence and duration of each point light source in the plurality of point light sources as they travel in a rotational path around the tire or wheel to which they are mounted. The flash sequence and duration of each point light source is determined as a function of the rotational rate and position of the tire or wheel assembly as obtained from the timing sensor.

    • An animated image and message display device, for example a rotatable disc or a desk, wall or ceiling fan including a series of LEDs provided on the device.     • A wrist exerciser includes a spherical hollow casing having a top opening. A ring is received within the casing and substantially coincident with a great circle of the casing. A rotor is rotatably received in the casing by being rotatably supported by the ring. The rotor has a circumferential groove defined in an outer surface thereof for receiving a rope wound around the rope. By manually pulling to unwind the rope through the top opening, the rotor is rotated in the casing. A number of light emitting diodes (LEDs) are arranged on the outer surface of the rotor in a predetermined fashion. A power supply device is mounted to the rotor and electrically connected to the LEDs via a microprocessor based control circuit for conducting on/off the LEDs in accordance with operation modes performed by the microprocessor. By making use of the persistency of human vision, a limited number of the LEDs may display complicated messages, including the rotational speed of the rotor.
