摘要： A device for spreading a cable of carbon fibers or carbon yarns, includes a disk mounted on a rotary shaft and provided with at least one comb adapted to comb a cable of carbon fibers or carbon yarns in a direction substantially parallel to the longitudinal direction of the fibers or yarns of the cable. The comb includes a plurality of teeth protruding radially toward the outside of the disk, and a device for rotating the disk around its rotary axis. Furthermore, a method for spreading a cable of carbon fibers or carbon yarns, includes at least making the teeth of the comb of the device flush with the cable in a direction substantially parallel to the longitudinal direction of the fibers or yarns of the cable.

摘要： A smokeless tobacco product includes smokeless tobacco and structural fibers. The structural fibers forming a network in which the smokeless tobacco is entangled. The structural fibers have a composition different from the smokeless tobacco. The tobacco-entangled fabric can have an overall oven volatiles content of at least 10 weight percent. In some embodiments, the structural fibers form a nonwoven network. In some embodiments, fibrous structures of the smokeless tobacco are entangled with the structural fibers.

According to the invention, the following is provided: the two belts (1,2) are guided in the region of the first fluid application (D,W,A) such that they do not run parallel to each other, or: the two belts (1,2) are guided in the region of the first fluid application (D,W,A) such that they run parallel to each other in a first section (AB1) and not parallel to each other in a subsequent second section (AB2).

摘要： A substrate for artificial leather comprising a nonwoven fabric of bundles of microfine filaments. The substrate for artificial leather simultaneously satisfies the following requirements 1 to 4: (1) the bundle of microfine filaments comprises 8 to 70 microfine filaments having a cross-sectional shape of nearly circle; (2) the bundle of microfine filaments has a cross-sectional area of 170 to 700 μm2 and a flatness of 4.0 or less; (3) on a cross section parallel to a thickness direction of the nonwoven fabric body, cross sections of the microfine fiber bundles exist in a density of 1500 to 3000/mm2; and (4) on a cross section parallel to a thickness direction of the nonwoven fabric body, gaps between the microfine fiber bundles have a size of 70 μm or less. By satisfying the requirements, the substrate for artificial leather combines high level of sensuous qualities and high level of physical properties which have been considered to be mutually exclusive.

The new base interlining provides a sufficient mechanical stability, good perforation strength, good tensile strength and a high resistance to thermal stress, inter alia required for base interlining during bituminization. In addition, the new base interlining requires a considerable reduced volume of impregnating bitumen when producing bituminized roofing materials and therefore high costs of special bitumens for filling the base interlining can be avoided. Beside the new base interlining, a method for producing it as well as roofing membranes comprising the base interlining are subject matter of this invention.

摘要： A flexible nonwoven mat of polymeric fibers is liquid water transmission resistant and is particularly well suited for use as a prefabricated building construction underlayment. The polymeric fibers may be standard polymeric fibers or sheathed polymeric fibers that have fiber sheaths with a lower softening point temperature than the softening point temperature of the fiber cores. Preferably, the polymeric fibers are spunbond fibers and are bonded together through the application of heat and pressure. Where the fibers are sheathed fibers, interstices of the nonwoven mat are at least partially filled by a portion of the polymeric material of the sheaths that is dispersed into the interstices to reduce the porosity of the mat. In certain embodiments, the polymeric fibers on the top major surface of the mat are coated with a hydrophobic binder coating material, which is overlaid with a water repellant coating material, such as a filled asphalt, modified bitumen, or a non-asphaltic polymeric film, to increase the liquid water impermeability and enhance other physical properties of the mat.
