摘要： A coating for preventing the sticking of marine lives which comprises 100 parts by weight of a main agent containing a modified epoxy resin and, as a filler to the resin, a silicon dioxide powder impregnated with a mixed solution obtained by dissolving a calcined animal bone powder into a liquid mixture of sulfamic acid and boric acid, and 20 to 30 parts by weight of a curing agent for the above modified epoxy resin; and a method for preparing the coating. The application of a coating material formed by mixing the main agent and the curing agent onto a required portion and the formation of a coating film allows the prevention of the sticking of marine lives onto a ship body, a structure in the sea, a pipe line for receiving or discharging sea water, a port facilities and the like.

A functional member is provided with a first layer which is formed on a flexible base material and comprises a dry matter of a mixture comprising an inorganic porous material and an organic emulsion, and a second layer comprising an inorganic filler which is fixed over an approximately entire surface of the first layer by an organic binder, wherein the organic matter in the organic emulsion has a glass-transition temperature of −5° C. to −50° C.; and the organic binder in the second layer is contained in an amount of 30-300 parts by volume to 100 parts by volume of the inorganic filler.

摘要： The invention relates to a polymer-cellulosic fiber composition comprising a polymer, a cellulosic fiber, and a quaternary ammonium alkyl salt wherein the latter imparts antimicrobial properties to the composition and functions as a lubricant during the formation of the composition. The quaternary ammonium alkyl salts may be alkyl carboxylate, alkyl sulfate, alkyl sulphonate, alkyl phosphate, or alkyl phosphite. Certain of the salts are new compositions of matter. The method of extruding and the extrudate are also claimed.
