摘要： An improved hydroprocessing slurry catalyst is provided for the upgrade of heavy oil feedstock. The catalyst comprises dispersed particles in a hydrocarbon medium with the dispersed particles have an average particle size ranging from 1 to 300 μm. The catalyst has a total pore volume of at least 0.5 cc/g and a polymodal pore distribution with at least 80% of pore sizes in the range of 5 to 2,000 Angstroms in diameter. The catalyst is prepared from sulfiding and dispersing a metal precursor solution in a hydrocarbon diluent, the metal precursor comprising at least a Primary metal precursor and optionally a Promoter metal precursor, the metal precursor solution having a pH of at least 4 and a concentration of less than 10 wt. % of Primary metal in solution.

摘要： A system and method employing sunlight energy for the reduction of carbon dioxide into methane and water are disclosed. Methane gas may then be stored for later use as fuel. The system and method may use inorganic capping agents that cap the surface of semiconductor nanocrystals to form photocatalytic capped colloidal nanocrystals, which may be deposited on a substrate and treated to form a photoactive material. The photoactive material may be employed in the system to harvest sunlight and produce energy necessary for carbon dioxide reduction. The system may also include elements necessary to collect and transfer methane, for subsequent transformation into electrical energy.

More specifically, the photocatalyst member includes a base having a glaze layer and a photocatalyst layer that is provided on the glaze layer and contains titanium oxide and zirconium titanate, wherein the content of zirconium titanate in the photocatalyst layer is 15 to 75% by mass based on the total content of titanium oxide and zirconium titanate, and the content of zirconium titanate in an area from around an interface between the photocatalyst layer and the base to an median line in the thickness of the photocatalyst layer is larger than the content of zirconium titanate in an area near the external surface of the photocatalyst layer.

摘要： Described is an iron-containing zeolite wherein the number of iron sites, based on the zeolite, is greater than the number of cationic positions in the zeolite. Also described is an iron-containing zeolite preparable by gas phase reaction with iron pentacarbonyl, said zeolite having a greater specific surface area than iron-containing zeolites prepared analogously by ion exchange and/or being more hydrothermally stable than iron-containing zeolites prepared analogously by ion exchange, or wherein the number of iron clusters larger than 10 nm is less than 15% by weight, based on the total amount of iron. Further described is a process for preparing an iron-containing zeolitic material, which comprises doping with iron by means of a gas phase reaction using iron pentacarbonyl. Further described is a process for catalytic reduction of nitrogen oxides using catalysts comprising said iron-containing zeolitic materials.

In some embodiments, the interior region and the exterior surface are formed using a wet chemistry process.
