摘要： The present invention provides high permeance copolyimide membranes and methods for making and using these membranes for gas separations such as for hydrogen purification and for acid gas removal from natural gas. The random copolyimide polymers used to make the copolyimide membrane may be UV crosslinked to improve selectivity in separating mixtures of gases or in purifying liquids. The membranes may be fabricated into any known membrane configuration such as a flat sheet or a hollow fiber.

摘要： A gas separation method includes contacting a membrane filter with gas feed, permeating the gas from the gas feed through the membrane, and producing filtered gas from the filter. The filtered gas is produced from the filter as a result of the membrane removing any hydrocarbons containing six or more carbon atoms to produce a total of 0.001 ppm w/w or less. A gas separation method includes feeding gas into a filter containing a hollow fiber membrane that exhibits the property of resisting degradation due to exposure to hydrocarbons containing six or more carbon atoms. The filter exhibits a pressure drop across the membrane of less than 5 psi. The method includes feeding the filtered gas into a gas separation module that exhibits a susceptibility to degradation from exposure to hydrocarbons containing six or more carbon atoms.

摘要： A method for making a defect-free carbon molecular sieve (CMS) fiber membrane with an enhanced selectivity and aging resistance includes the steps of fabricating the CMS fiber membrane by pyrolyzing a polymer precursor, coating a thin layer of the silicone rubber on the CMS fiber membrane with the silicone rubber solution and drying the coated CMS fiber membrane to remove the organic solvent. The silicone rubber may be a poly(siloxane) containing repeating units of the moiety of the following formula: wherein R1 and R2 each is independently selected from the group consisting of an H, a C1-C20 aliphatic group, a C3-C20 aromatic group, and a C1-C8 saturated or unsaturated alkoxy group. The silicone rubber may be PDMS.

摘要： To provide a system which supplies nitrogen enriched air (NEA) produced by using bleed air as a supply source of the NEA to a fuel tank, and which can further improve the fuel consumption. The present invention employs an NEA supply system 10 that controls a supply in a flow control valve (FCV) 11 so as to obtain a supply flow rate Fs as a value obtained by adding a small margin flow rate Fm to a required amount Fn of nitrogen enriched air required to be supplied to a first fuel tank 15, in at least a part of a descent phase of an aircraft 100. Accordingly, explosion of the first fuel tank 15 can be prevented, and the fuel consumption of an engine 1 can be improved in the descent phase.
