摘要： The invention provides an electrode device that prevents disconnection of an electrode layer effectively by reducing stress at the time when a recess is formed.An electrode device (10) has a protrusion (70), which projects upward, in the part of an outward flange section (110f), other than a recess (60) formed by molding. The protrusion (70) is arranged so as to surround an outer periphery of the recess (60). When the recess (60) is cold-pressed, the protrusion (70) prevents warp (warp waving along a peripheral direction) in the outward flange section (110f) from occurring. Consequently, the protrusion (70) also eases warp of an electrode layer (30) extending on the outward flange section (110f) and prevents disconnection of the electrode layer (30).

In another embodiment, the sensor detects nitric oxide or a nitric oxide metabolite and can be implanted for a period of hours, days, weeks or years. Methods are also disclosed.

摘要： An implantable sensor for use in measuring a concentration of an analyte such as glucose in a bodily fluid, including a body with a sensing region adapted for transport of analytes between the sensor and the bodily fluid, wherein the sensing region is located on a curved portion of the body such that when a foreign body capsule forms around the sensor, a contractile force is exerted by the foreign body capsule toward the sensing region. The body is partially or entirely curved, partially or entirely covered with an anchoring material for supporting tissue ingrowth, and designed for subcutaneous tissue implantation. The geometric design, including curvature, shape, and other factors minimize chronic inflammatory response at the sensing region and contribute to improved performance of the sensor in vivo.

摘要： A new type of infrared reflectance device is disclosed to provide a quantitative evaluation of skin pallor. The instrument is designed to produce a measurement proportional to the percentage of infrared reflectance of the skin. In one embodiment, it consists of a miniature GaAs light emitting diode, which provides a pulsed infrared light source, a silicon photodiode detector, and processing circuitry. The device electronics are temperature compensated and are designed to respond only to the pulsed component of the detector output and to reject components due to stray light from external sources. The wavelength is chosen such that the measurement is relatively insensitive to the level of blood oxygenation and melanin pigment in the skin.

摘要： A catheter, such as a fractional flow reserve catheter, includes an elongate shaft having a proximal end optionally coupled to a handle or luer fitting and a distal end having a distal opening. A pressure sensing wire extends to the distal portion of the elongate shaft to be coupled to a pressure sensor mounted on the distal end for measuring a pressure of a fluid within lumen of vessel. The pressure sensor wire is disposed within a pocket formed adjacent to the pressure sensor thereby minimizing the profile of the catheter. Bending or flexing stress or strain experienced by a pressure sensor mounted to a fractional flow reserve catheter when tracking the catheter through the vasculature creates a distortion of the sensor resulting in an incorrect pressure reading or bend error. In order to isolate the sensor from bending or flexing stress and strain, the sensor is mounted so that the sensor is spaced apart from the elongate shaft of the catheter.
