摘要： A device, providing enlargement and preventing collapse, of the pupil of the eye, during an ophthalmic surgical procedure. The device, configured as a continuous or discontinuous ring, comprises plurality of notches at corners and flanges at sides. The ring is formed from a strand of resiliently flexible material and is disposed entirely within a single plane. The notches engage the pupillary margin at different parts, pushing them apart, resulting in sustained enlargement of the pupil. In addition, the device causes bending of the pupillary margin and iris at the notches and above and below the flanges, resulting in a secure engagement. The enlarged pupil created by the ring, allows a wide view of the structures deeper to the pupillary plane, previously obscured due to a small pupil.

摘要： A penetrating canaloplasty for treating angle-closure glaucoma that retains the advantages of canaloplasty, namely, internal drainage and non-bleb-dependence; the sclera is tightly sutured so as to avoid ocular hypotension and shallow anterior chamber complications; bleb-related complications such as postoperative infection and dry eye are avoided; since an inner wall of the Schlemm's canal is resected, it is possible to improve long-term success rates; indications are widened, including angle-closure glaucoma and all of glaucoma patients applicable to trabeculectomy. Traditional trabeculectomy forms blebs through outer filtering to reduce intraocular pressure, and the existence of blebs can influence postoperative living quality of patients. In contrast, the penetrating canaloplasty is a non-filtering operation, does not form blebs after operation, does not damage immunologic and physiologic structure of ocular surfaces and slightly influences quality of the tear film, and patients may gain relatively good ocular surface environment after operation.

摘要： An infant eye opening apparatus so that an infant's eyelid can be opened to expose the eye so that the eye can be examined, the device can be operated with one hand and opens the eyelid without damaging the eyelid or eyeball. The apparatus comprises a first arm and a second arm, connected at one end with the ends opposite opposed to each other and separated. The ends of the arms opposed to each other further comprise a pad on each arm, the pads being comprised of a material such as medical grade silicone gel, which is placed in contact with the eyelid during the eye opening procedure, and which provides the protection to the eye.

The speculum drape has at least a first sleeve made of surgical drape material that envelops at least a first retaining portion of a speculum or retractor.
