摘要： The present invention relates to an optical fiber preform manufacturing method which can be used for wide band optical fibers by preventing the loss by OH-ions in the 1385 nm wavelength region by depositing a clad layer at a large thickness, so that the ratio of the outer diameter of a core to the outer diameter of a deposited clad is more than 2.5 after a collapse at the deposition of a clad layer and a core, and etching them respectively after the deposition and collapse, in order to prevent OH-ions contained in a tube and OH-ions penetrated into the surface by a hydrogen-oxygen burner from being diffused into the core in the deposition and collapse process in manufacturing an optical fiber preform by the MCVD method.

摘要： Disclosed is a method for manufacturing a multimode optical fiber for high data rate LAN using MCVD, which includes a deposition process for forming a clad layer and a core layer, doped with an additive for controlling a refractive index, on an inner wall of a quartz tube by injecting a deposition gas into the quartz tube and applying heat to outside of the quartz tube; and a collapse process, which is repeatedly conducted N times, for filling up a gap in the quartz tube by applying heat of a temperature over a deposition temperature to the quartz tube after the core layer is completely deposited. In the method, together with an N−1th collapse process, an etching process of injecting a reaction gas for etching into the quartz tube is conducted in order to eliminate a portion of which refractive index is transformed due to evaporation of the additive.

摘要： A thermistor, which is to be mounted on a PCB, for protecting other circuit elements is disclosed. Electrode patterns separately formed on both surfaces of a film resistance element are respectively shaped into two parts which are engaged to each other with a non-conductive gap interposed therebetween. Thus, a Tombstone phenomenon caused by asymmetric structure may be fundamentally prevented. Grooves are formed in both sides of the thermistor, and connection portions for electrically connecting the electrodes formed on both surfaces of the thermistor are formed through the inside of the grooves or through the sides except the grooves. Thus, though a crack arises in the connection portion, it is possible to prevent the crack from being propagated to the entire connection portion along the side of the thermistor.

摘要： A thermistor of which resistance is changed depending on temperature and a secondary battery to which the thermistor is attached are disclosed. The thermistor is attached to an object via a lead which is made of different kinds of materials. The lead is configured so that a part of the lead to be united to the thermistor electrode is mainly made of the same material as the electrode and a part of the lead to be united to the object is mainly made of the same material as the surface of the object. Thus, the thermistor may be simply attached to the object only using the ultrasonic welding, thereby remarkably reducing junction inferiorities.

The apparatus comprises a case provided with a cover and piercing holes at opposite sides of the case such that a steel wire can pass through the case, a plurality of driving motors provided at one side of the exterior of the case, rotating members located at an inside of the case and connected to the driving motors, respectively, by belts serving to rotate them, support plates for supporting the rotating members, and cleaning members coupled to the rotating member and adapted to provide a path through which the steel wire passes. The dry lubricant on the surface of the steel wire can be effectively cleaned by friction between the lubricant on the steel wire and the cleaning members.

摘要： A furnace for drawing an optical fiber includes a body having an upper and lower openings for supplying a preform and discharging a drawn optical fiber, a heating unit installed in the body for receiving and melting the preform, an atmosphere blocking tube installed to the lower opening for discharging the drawn optical fiber and blocking the optical fiber from the atmosphere, an upper introduction port formed at an upper portion of the body for introducing an inert gas toward the preform and partially discharged outside through a gap between the preform and the upper opening, a central and lower introduction ports formed at central and lower portions for introducing an inert gas into the body, a first flow guiding means for guiding the inert gas introduced through the central introduction port upward and then flowed down along a surface of the preform, and a second flow guiding means for guiding the inert gas introduced through the lower introduction port upward and then discharged outside through the atmosphere blocking tube along a surface of the drawn optical fiber.
