摘要： An apparatus, system, and method are disclosed for multistage water separation. A first separation layer separates water droplets from a fuel flow by repelling the first water droplets. A coalescing layer may coalesce fine water droplets in the fuel flow. In one embodiment, a centrifugal separator directs the fuel flow tangentially to a filter wall and the centrifugal force of the fuel flow directed tangentially along the filter wall biases water droplets from the fuel flow. A second separation layer separates second water droplets from the fuel flow.

摘要： An apparatus, system, and method for measuring static pressure in a warm gas flow while minimizing particulate deposit formation includes a housing containing the flow of gas, a pressure sensor, and a heated pressure sampling tube attached to the sensor, with the tube sampling the gas flow. The heated sampling tube reduces the temperature gradient between the gas and the tube, reducing thermophoretic forces that contribute to deposit formation. The sampling tube extends through the housing into the gas flow in one embodiment, enabling the gas to heat the tube and locating the open end of the tube in a higher-flow area of the gas, further reducing deposit formation.

摘要： An apparatus, system, and method are disclosed for intermittently delivering fluid. An injector intermittently delivers a first quantity of fluid over a first time interval. In one embodiment, the injector is passively cooled. In a certain embodiment, the injector delivers the first quantity of fluid responsive to a fluid flow measurement of a flow meter. An orifice diverts the first quantity of fluid from a primary fluid supply system over a second time interval without decreasing the supply of fluid to a primary load within a flow rate range while the fluid pressure remains within a pressure range. An accumulator accumulates at the least the first quantity of fluid as a fluid charge with positive energy.

The shaft includes a first shaft section that is detachably coupled to a second shaft section in order to make maintenance and assembly of the centrifuge easier by reducing the shaft clearance needed during disassembly and assembly of the centrifuge. The first shaft section includes a first bushing race around which the first bushing is rotatably received. The second shaft section includes an integrally formed bushing collar for supporting the second bushing and a second bushing race around which the second bushing is rotatably received. With such a construction, the size of the bushings in the centrifuge can be minimized, which in turn increases the operational speed of the centrifuge, thereby enhancing the particulate removal efficiency in the centrifuge.
