摘要： Disclosed is an organosiloxane composition which can be produced at low cost and is usable for bonding of glasses, metals and resins. The organosiloxane composition can provide a cured product exhibiting excellent heat resistance and cold resistance, while having high strength and high transparency. Specifically disclosed is a polyorganosiloxane composition containing (A) a polyorganosiloxane wherein at least one end of each molecule is modified with a silanol group, and (B) 0.5-4.0 moles of a metal alkoxide per 1 mole of the polyorganosiloxane, wherein the mean molecular weight (Mw) of the polyorganosiloxane according to the mass fraction is not more than 1,000. Also specifically disclosed are a cured product of the composition and a method for producing the composition.

摘要： An optical fiber made of quartz or glass and having a core and a cladding includes a microporous silica solution applied to an outer peripheral surface thereof, which is synthesized from a mixture of silicon alcoxide, active alcohol for facilitating hydrolytic action, alcohol, and water, by means of the sol-gel process, followed by baking to form a thin film of microporous silica made chiefly of silicon. Microporous of the thin film of microporous silica have function of cushioning to cushion and restrain that micro cracks much existing in the cladding undergo growth when the optical fiber is bent so that the optical fiber is likely to be broken. And the thin film of microporous silica which made chiefly of silicon has high heat-resistant properties similarly to the optical fiber itself. Accordingly, a heat-resistant optical fiber very excellent in heat-resistant properties is provided.

摘要： A heating system heats casseroles placed on trays on a passenger plane. The heating system includes heating plates vertically arranged at regular intervals to receive the casseroles between adjacent heating plates to heat each casserole from above and from beneath. The heating plate includes a ceramic plate, a heating element buried in the ceramic plate, electrodes projecting from the ceramic plate, and a reinforcing frame. The heating plate is attached to the inner surface of a side wall of a cabinet. The junction of the heating plate and the side wall is sealed in a water-tight manner. The heating system is connected to a power supply by connecting a receptacle connector fixedly provided on the cabinet, and a plug connector elastically supported on a fixed part of the galley of the passenger airplane so as to be vertically, horizontally and axially movable. When the receptacle connector is pressed against the plug connector, the plug connector is brought automatically into alignment with the receptacle connector. A tray is provided with a partition rib partitioning off a part of the surface of the tray to make a heating portion for receiving a casserole thereon. The casserole is surrounded closely by the partition rib and portions of a peripheral rib so that the heat of the casserole is not released outside. A casserole has a pan and a top formed of a heat-transmissive, transparent plastic.
