    • A deodorizing and disinfecting apparatus having catalyst deterioration detection function of the present invention comprises: an air supply portion for inhaling air inside; an ozone generating portion for discharging ozone to the inhaled air: a catalyst for accelerating deodorizing and disinfecting actions and decomposition of the ozone disposed downstream from the ozone generating portion; an ozone sensor for detecting the concentration of remaining ozone disposed downstream from the catalyst; and means for repeating a cycle including stop of ozone discharge from the ozone generating portion for a predetermined time period when the concentration of the remaining ozone reaches a predetermined concentration or more, and for determining that the catalyst is deteriorated when a condition wherein an interval between times when the concentration of the remaining ozone is not less than a predetermined concentration becomes shorter than a predetermined time period is recognized at a predetermined frequency, and then for stopping discharge of the ozone.

    • An object of the present invention is to provide a composition for use in a formation of transparent and electrically conductive film having a low electric resistance and a high transmittance and a method for making the film mentioned above. A mixture of inorganic indium compound and organic tin compound is combined with organic compound capable of coordinating with either of indium and tin to form an organic solution. When the mixture is heated, the inorganic indium compound and the organic tin compound coordinating partially with the organic compound react with water of crystallization of inorganic indium compound. The organic tin compound is partially subjected to hydrolysis to form an intermediate complex compound including indium and tin. This suppresses the evaporation of tin and generates a uniform film having a high transmittance and a low electric resistance. An addition of polyhydric alcohol increases the viscosity of the solution and gives a high stability to a resultant film obtained by applying the composition to the substrate and firing.

    • A mouthpiece for a semi-closed type of breathing apparatus for removing carbon dioxide from breathing air circulating from an inhaling port to an exhaling port in a breathing circuit, comprising a casing, a diaphragm which expands when the inner pressure of a casing is increased through an exhaling operation, exhaling valve member for opening and closing the exhaling port, an urging device for urging the exhaling valve member in such a direction as to close the exhaling port, and a lever having one end linked to the exhaling valve member and the other end linked to the diaphragm, the exhaling valve member being opened through the lever when the inner pressure of the casing is increased through the exhaling operation and the diaphragm expands. The exhaling valve member is urged by the urging device to thereby surely close the exhaling port, so that the exhaling valve is completely prevented from being opened due to the weight of water intruding into the mouthpiece, and thus water in the mouthpiece can be surely prevented from intruding into the breathing circuit.
