摘要： Polyoxyalkylene polyether amino alcohols are prepared which have the following formula: ##STR1## wherein, R represents hydrogen or a methyl or an ethyl group, x represents a number having an average value of about 1 to about 4 and n represents a number having an average value of about 1 to about 40.The polyoxyalkylene polyether amino alcohol is prepared by alkoxylating a glycol that contains one tertiary hydroyxl group and also a primary or secondary hydroxyl group in order to form an alkoxylated intermediate and by then reductively aminating the alkoxylated intermediate.

摘要： A process for the accelerated cure of an epoxy resin is disclosed. The resulting epoxy resin may be used in protective coatings, adhesives, seamless and terrazo flooring and caulking and sealing compositions. The resulting resin system is also useful, for example, in casting, potting, in escapulating, grouting and patching. The process involves mixing an epoxy resin of the polyhydric phenol, polyglycidyl ether type with a novel accelerator-hardener which is a condensation product of phenol, formaldehyde and an aminoalkylene derivative of a polyoxyalkylenepolyamine.

摘要： The reaction product of salicylic acid esters and an alkylene oxide may be cyclized into a compound of the general formula: ##STR1## where R' is a radical selected from the group consisting of aryl, aliphatic and hydrogen. Specifically R' may be C.sub.1 -C.sub.10 alkyl, halogenated alkyl, alkyl ester, unsaturated aliphatic phenyl, substituted phenyl and hydrogen. These compounds are useful as antirhumatics. The compounds may also be converted into polyol crosslinking agents for polyurethane foams. These compounds may also be polymerized into polyesters by heating with a catalyst. Such a polymerization is a ring opening route and leaves no residue such as is found in condensation polymerization. Depending on the molecular weight attained these polyesters could be used as films, coatings and fibers, for example.
