摘要： When a user uses an image processing device, the image processing device accesses a private PC of the user connected to a network to request acquisition of environmental information. A printer driver in the private PC collects various settings (including desktop theme, application settings, and device driver settings) from within the private PC. The settings are transmitted to the image processing device. The image processing device, based on the acquired setting information, changes the panel display, application settings, and others. This simplifies setting of the image processing device.

摘要： A pitch-type fiber convertible to an activated carbon fiber is infusiblized with an infusiblizing gas and the infusiblized fiber is activated with an activating gas, such as steam, to produce an activated carbon fiber. The waste gas from the infusiblizing step is utilized in a combusting step. The combustible component of the waste gas from the activating step is separated out of the waste gas from the activating step and combusted in the combusting step along with the waste gas from the infusiblizing step. The resulting heat from the combusting step is utilized to preheat the infusiblizing gas and the activating gas and the preheated gases are utilized in the infusiblizing step and the activating step, respectively. This arrangement allows the infusiblizing temperature and the activating temperature to be accurately controlled. Thus, an activated carbon fiber is manufactured continuously without being negatively affected by waste gases from the infusiblizing and activating steps.

摘要： In a method of manufacturing a multilayered ceramic substrate, a capacitor layer is formed on a green sheet of a low temperature co-firable ceramic by means of printing. The green sheet with the capacitor layer and a plurality of other green sheets are laminated together into a substrate laminate. Two release green sheets of alumina system each unsintered below 1,000.degree. C. are further laminated to the top and the bottom of the substrate laminate respectively. The obtained laminate is fired at a temperature ranging between 800.degree. and 1,000.degree. C. under pressure ranging between 2 and 20 kgf/cm.sup.2. The release green sheets adherent to the side surfaces of the substrate are removed after the firing. Subsequently, a wiring pattern is printed on the substrate, which is then fired at a temperature ranging between 800.degree. and 1,000.degree. C.
