    • A universal serial bus (USB) with a power-saving mode and an operating method thereof are provided. When the USB peripheral is coupled to the USB host, the USB host core logic of the USB host transmits an inquiry request via a USB transceiver to inquire whether or not the USB peripheral supports the power-saving mode. The core logic of the USB peripheral responds via the USB transceiver that the power-saving mode is supported. Then the USB peripheral is off-line and then is shifted to be on-line for operating the power-saving mode. The USB host is also switched to the power-saving mode. Under the power-saving mode, the data are respectively transceived by the serial transceivers. The clock frequency of the serial transceiver can be adjusted according to the request of data transmission.

    • An electric wrench comprises a main body with a head portion, a handle and a neck portion, a worm gear disposed in a receptacle in the head portion and engaged with a movable jaw on top of the head portion, a flexible member disposed between the worm gear and a major gear wheel,a motor housed in a first open space in the main body and connected to a minor gear wheel below the major gear wheel through a second transmission member electrically connected to a battery in a second open space in the main body, a switch unit electrically connected the motor for controlling the activation of the motor and a side cover detachable for covering the first and the second open spaces. Thereby, the motor can drive a slide motion of the movable jaw through the various transmission parts so as to change the clip size of the electric wrench.

    • A ratchet tool uses a braking piece disposed in a receptacle area in the box head of a wrench for locking the ratchet wheel. The braking piece has two opposite components respectively extended from the top ends thereon and is coupled to a pushing mechanism consisting of a first and a second resilient parts. The resilient parts are attached on two lateral sides of a connecting piece, whereby the braking piece urged by a multi-step repositioning spring force in a process of backward reposition will produce louder noises for a better recognition of a user. The receptacle areas can be easily sealed by a cover plate for a fast assembly.
