The molding is breached, in use, by a mating formation of a printhead for facilitating flow of ink from the container to the printhead. A seal arrangement is arranged at an opposed end of the container. The seal arrangement includes a pellet of gelatinous material received in each reservoir. The pellet is of a consistency which retains its shape as it is drawn towards the first end of the container as ink is withdrawn from the container, in use.

摘要： A print engine includes a print roll cartridge. The print roll cartridge includes a former, in turn, defining ink reservoirs for storing respective types of ink and bears a wound length of print media upon which the stored ink can be printed. The print roll cartridge defines a print media exit slot and includes a feed arrangement arranged to feed the print media through the exit slot. A printhead assembly includes an ink feed arrangement, in turn, defining ink feed galleries which can be connected in fluid communication with respective ink reservoirs. An elongate printhead is arranged relative to the ink feed arrangement to print ink fed from the ink feed galleries onto the print media fed through the exit slot. A motor assembly is coupled to the former and the feed arrangement to feed the print media through the exit slot. A cutter assembly is arranged to cut printed print media from the remaining print media wound upon the former.

The capping member is displaceable into and out of abutment with the printhead for capping and uncapping the printhead respectively. A torsion bar arrangement acts on the capping member for displacing the capping member. A mechanical displaceable element co-operates with the torsion bar arrangement such that, when the element is in a parked position, the element engages the torsion bar arrangement to cause the capping member to be displaced into abutment with the printhead to cap the printhead. When the displaceable element is out of its parked position, the capping member is urged by the torsion bar arrangement out of abutment with the printhead.

摘要： A power supply for a printhead assembly includes a first strip of an electrically conductive material, the first strip having a pair of spaced terminals projecting from a side edge thereof and a second strip of an electrically conductive material, the second strip having a single terminal projecting from a corresponding side edge thereof. The arrangement is such that, when the two strips are arranged side by side, the single terminal of the second strip is arranged between, and equidistantly from, the two terminals of the first strip. A strip of insulating material arranged between the two strips. This symmetrical arrangement of terminals reduces the liklihood of reversing polarity when the assembly is installed. The assembly also includes a TAB film to which a Memjet chip is affixed and which is electrically connected to resilient contact fingers on the two strips and also to a flexible film joined to a data connector.
