    • This lifesaving floatation and breathing device comprises first and second inflatable bags having similar bag volumes, and a mouthpiece communicating with both bags. A pressurized gas cylinder filled with breathable gas is mounted to one of the bags. This pressurized gas cylinder has a gas volume and a gas pressure therein. The device also has an inflator mechanism mounted thereto for transferring the breathable gas from the pressurized gas cylinder into one of the bags. One of the characteristics of the device is that the volume of each bag is a mathematical product of the gas volume inside the cylinder and a ratio of the gas pressure inside the cylinder over atmospheric pressure. Either bags can accept the full content of the cylinder at atmospheric pressure, thereby obviating the need for a pressure regulator or flow control orifice therein.

    • Digital Cinema events are streamed under control of a management hub such that audio/video content from content sources is distributed to theatre venues across a wide area, fiber optic network overlaid on a public switched telephone network, which overlay network includes a back channel adapted for transporting signals indicative of user interaction with at least some of the audio/video content, so as to deliver the audio/video content to media gateways resident at each of the theatre venues where it is converted from a first format in which the audio/video content was streamed to one or more second formats adapted for exhibition via respective ones of the theatres' digital projection systems.

    • A data mining apparatus and method are provided. The method operates by receiving a keyword list, compiling the keyword list into a finite state machine (FSM), performing data mining on documents in a document repository using a scanner, wherein the scanner uses the FSM to produce a match list comprising information about locations of the keywords in the documents, and processing the match list to produce a grid document comprising information about co-occurrences of keywords from the list in the documents. The apparatus uses a compiler, a scanner, and a builder to implement the method.

    • A load indicating fastener comprising a load indicator, a fastener body, and a securing mechanism retaining the load indicator on the fastener body. The load indicator has integral protuberances struck and partially sheared from the load indicator to project from a face and leave corresponding indentations in an opposite face. The securing mechanism may be a member extending radially outward from the shank of the fastener body, such as a plurality of spaced apart tabs; at least one thread; at least one flare, stake, or form; a step ring; a series of bumps; a knurl; and one or more lobes. Alternative embodiments of the securing mechanism include a key-and-keyhole combination; an interference fit facilitated by a chamfer or by one or more lobes or by shaped surfaces of the fastener body and of the load indicator; one or more tack welded interconnections; and an adhesive patch.
