    • A multi-function flashlight device is provided in either an all white light emitting diode (LED) or a colored LED version that allows versatile functionality. The flashlight is fashioned to have an outer housing that includes both an integrated means for interfacing the flashlight with a firearm and a surface thereon that serves as a handgrip. The outer housing of the flashlight is configured to be engaged by a clamping assembly that facilitates integration of the flashlight with standard firearm accessory rail assemblies. The flashlight head includes a high-output white LED positioned centrally within an optical element such as a reflector. Should the flashlight be a colored light, four other positions are provided around the periphery of the lens that contain colored LEDs. The flashlight provides the user the ability to selectively and individually control the mode of operation for all of the LEDs contained therein.

    • A miniature flashlight consists of a housing, a light emitting diode (LED), a pair of batteries, and a flexible cover and a contact clip that acts as a switch. The LED has a head portion and two contact arms. One of the contact arms is shorter than the other and is displaced at a slight angle relative to the longer contact arm. The LED is received in a seat formed in the housing with the head portion of the diode received in an aperture in the side wall of the housing. The longer contact arm is captured in a channel formed in the bottom wall. The shorter contact arm rests on a shoulder that forms part of the LED seat. A pair of coin cell batteries are received within another seat formed in housing. The lower battery sits on top of the longer contact arm captured in the channel of the bottom wall. A resilient plastic cover is assembled with the housing to maintain the diode and the batteries within the housing.

    • The present invention provides a lighting head assembly that incorporates a high intensity LED package into an integral housing for further incorporation into other useful lighting devices. The present invention primarily includes two housing components, namely an inner mounting die and an outer enclosure and an optical component for collimating and focusing the light output. The inner and outer components cooperate to retain the LED package, provide electrical and control connections, provide integral heat sink capacity. Further the integrally incorporated optical lens captures, homogenizes and transmits substantially all of the light emitted by a light source, such as a light emitting diode. The present invention transmits 85% of the light emitted by the light source and produces a uniformly illuminated circular image in the far field of the device. In this manner, high intensity LED packages can be incorporated into lighting assemblies through the use of the present invention by simply installing the present invention into a housing and providing power connections thereto.
