    • A retractor and a surgical tool are positioned within a cannula, and a dissection cradle of the retractor is positioned at the distal end of the cannula. The retractor includes a first portion with an axis approximately parallel to the axis of the cannula and a second portion with an axis that can be skewed relative to the axis of the cannula. The dissection cradle is located at the distal end of the second portion of the retractor, and may include two substantially parallel, spaced legs with the retractor shaped in a loop between and in a plane skewed relative to the axes of the legs, and with the loop directed away from the surgical tool. Thus, in operation, a surgeon locates a vessel and side branch of interest and extends the retractor to cradle the vessel in the dissection cradle. Once cradled, the retractor may be deflected to urge the vessel away from the axis of the cannula to isolate the side branch for exposure to the surgical tool. Removable, transparent tips are selectively positioned at the distal end of the cannula for performing dissection and transection via a single cannula. Additionally, the tips are configured to align the apices of the tips with the central axis of the endoscope to maximize the visual field through the tips via the endoscope. Wing-like protrusions on an alternate tip for the cannula facilitate tissue dissection in forming a tunnel in tissue along a target vessel. Swept back forward edges on the wing-like protrusions promote easy dissection using reduced force to advance the cannula and alternate tip tough tissue surrounding the target vessel.

    • A method and system for trace generation using memory index hashing. A method may include generating an extended trace representative of M threads of instruction execution from a trace representative of N threads of instruction execution, where N and M are integers, N≧1 and M>N, and where each of the N threads of the trace includes memory references to respective memory addresses. Generating the extended trace from the trace may include replicating the N threads to generate the M threads, assigning a respective identifier to each of the M threads, and for a given one of the M threads, hashing a first portion of each of the respective addresses dependent upon the respective identifier of the given thread, where the first portion of each of the respective addresses corresponds to at least part of an index of a memory structure shared by at least two of the M threads.

    • Compression of inner headers of IPSec tunnel packets is achieved by storing an inner IP header and an inner protocol header in a context sub-table associated with the security association database entry at a destination tunnel device. IPSec tunnel packets having compressed inner headers may be identified by the LSBs of the SPI number in the IPSec header. The SPI number may also identify whether the IPSec tunnel packet is a TCP packet. A portion of padding in the encapsulated portion may identify a particular context sub-table used for decompressing the inner headers. The context sub-table may be updated as portions of the inner headers change.

    • The invention relates to explosive blast mitigation enclosures, and in particular to enclosures adaptable to accommodate blast mitigation of suspect devices placed against a wall, the outside corner of two walls meeting at 90°, in close proximity to an immovable object such as a telephone pole or in other similar environmental settings. One aspect of the invention is broadly defined as a blast mitigation enclosure adaptable to various environmental settings comprising a plurality of wall panels substantially fabricated from ballistic fabric. The wall panels are removably attached to one another along their adjacent upright edges to form a floor-less enclosure, and at least one of the wall panels has a closable flap allowing for the introduction of blast-suppression foam into the enclosure.

    • A technique for tracking one or more thresholds relating to the blocking of a particular screen name used on an IM system is disclosed. If the number of people who have blocked a particular screen name reaches a threshold amount, a determination is made that the screen name is being used by a spimmer or other bothersome person, and disciplinary action can be taken. In a preferred embodiment, the email address associated with a user name of a suspected spimmer is identified and all screen names associated with that email address are also subjected to disciplinary action, if desired. Thus, an IM company can suspend all screen names of a spimmer that are tied to the same email address, even though not all (or even none) of the screen names individually have reached a threshold level for discipline/suspension.
