摘要： A reverse transmission controlling method in a mobile communication system, after receiving forward information, commanding the increase or decrease of the reverse data rate received on a forward control channel from a base station, a mobile station determines whether the previous rate increase available information transmitted to the base station on a reverse control channel before reception of the forward information indicates that a reverse data rate increase is available, if the forward information commands a reverse data rate increase. The mobile station increases the current reverse data rate to a data rate equal to or less than a maximum reverse data rate if the rate increase available information indicates that the reverse data rate increase is available, and transmits reverse data at the increased reverse data rate.

摘要： A method, apparatus, and system for negotiating a session between an access terminal (AT) and an access network (AN) that can simplify a repeated negotiation procedure when the session is configured/updated/deleted between the AT and the AN. The AN performs protocol-by-protocol negotiations with the AT for a session configuration. The AN sends, to the AT, a soft configuration complete message including a continue bit indicating if another session configuration is added. The AN and the AT store a negotiated session configuration mapped to a personality index indicated in the message. When all session configurations have been completed, the AN and the AT determine if a session configuration currently in use has been changed. If the session configuration in use has not been changed, the AT and the AN maintain a physical channel. Moreover, the AN sends information indicating if a specific session configuration is applied after session configuration negotiation is completed.

Thus, the base station can include only broadcast channel information necessary for actual broadcast in a broadcasting overhead message, and if the BCMCS service is stopped or unavailable, the base station can order the mobile station to interrupt the BCMCS service, thereby reducing the load on system resources.

摘要： A packet data generating method and apparatus for supporting multiple services in a wireless packet data communication system where an MS transmits two or more traffics to a BS on one of a reverse PDCH, a reverse FCH, and a reverse DCCH. To generate a PDU using non-signaling traffic and/or signaling traffic for one of the reverse physical channels, a multiplex option is determined during service negotiations between the MS and the BS. The multiplex option defines a traffic format having a header and a payload including traffic data, and the header includes a service reference identifier field, a length indicator field indicating the presence or absence of a length field, and the length field indicating the length of the traffic data. A PDU is generated by formatting a reverse traffic to have a header and a payload according to the determined multiplex option.
