    • A semiconductor laser module includes a laser holder, a semiconductor laser, a sleeve, an optical fiber, an annular member, and a flexible member. The laser holder has an end portion and is formed with a through-hole opened on the end portion. The semiconductor laser is provided on the laser holder and has a light-emitting portion for emitting a laser beam passing through the through-hole. The sleeve is fixed to the end portion so as to block the through-hole and is formed with an insertion hole. The optical fiber is disposed in the insertion hole and has an incident face. The laser beam is capable of entering the incident face. The annular member is provided on the end portion of the laser holder to encircle outside of the sleeve to be separated from the sleeve with a space between the annular member and the sleeve. The flexible member is affixed to the sleeve and the annular member for covering the space.

    • An optical recording apparatus includes an optical system, a photosensitive drum and a rotational mechanism. Multibeam laser light is focused through the optical system to form an image as a column of image-forming beam spots on the photosensitive drum. The column of image-forming beam spots is arranged obliquely on the photosensitive drum and scanned to perform optical recording. The optical system includes a resolution converting lens system which is detachably attached into the optical system. The rotating mechanism adjusts rotation of the resolution converting lens system around an optical axis thereof. The resolution converting lens system is rotated by the rotating mechanism to change of resolution of the recording image. The resolution converting lens system is attached into and detached from the optical system to change of resolution of the recording image.

    • A multi-beam generating element generates an even number of multiple beams having a uniform light intensity. The multi-beam generating element has a grating constructed by repeatedly arranging basic phase patterns, wherein the basic patterns are composed of at least two kinds of rectangular patterns having non-uniform widths and different phase heights. The basic phase patterns are fabricated by superposing rectangular patterns having non-uniform widths and single phase heights to form a multi-layer arrangement. In an optical printing apparatus having the grating, the multiple beams coming out of a multi-beam generating element are applied to a multi-channel acousto-optical element, a Dove prism rotating the angle of the aligned direction of the multiple beams having light intensities which have been modulated, and then the beams are scanned with a rotating polygonal mirror. By employing a grating generating multiple beams having uniformity in light intensities, a high speed and high resolution optical printing apparatus can be attained.
