    • In a power source system for supplying a load with a load voltage and a load current, a plurality of power sources share the load at rates of load sharing and have negative resistance characteristics. When the power sources are connected together in series, the rates are determined by source voltages produced by the respective power sources which also produce d.c. currents. Each d.c. current increases with an increment of each rate so as to specify each negative resistance characteristic. A control circuit is included in each power source to control the d.c. current and may be a combination of a current detector (60a, 60b) and a resistor (56a, 56b). Alternatively, the rates are determined by source currents produced by the respective power sources which also produce d.c. voltages when the power sources are connected together in parallel. The d.c. voltages are controlled by control circuits to specify the negative resistance characteristics so that each d.c. voltage increases with an increment of each source current. Each negative resistance characteristic may be changed to a positive resistance characteristic at a preselected one of each rate.

    • A hydraulic brake system is proposed which includes a hydraulic booster for boosting brake operation, and a circulation type pressure control unit. The hydraulic brake system further includes a hydraulic booster including an auxiliary hydraulic pressure source, a pressure regulator for adjusting the hydraulic pressure supplied therefrom to a value corresponding to an operating amount of a brake operating member and introducing the thus adjusted hydraulic pressure into a boost chamber, and a boost piston for actuating a master piston with a force boosted by an assisting force generated by the hydraulic pressure introduced into the boost chamber. The hydraulic booster further includes a hydraulic line bypassing the pressure regulator and extending from the boost chamber to the auxiliary hydraulic pressure, and a check valve provided in the hydraulic line and configured to allow only a discharge of hydraulic pressure from the boost chamber into the auxiliary hydraulic pressure source.

    • In a gear changing device, when a sun gear rotates in a forward direction, a rotating member is rotated in the same direction as the sun gear and planetary gears are pivotally rotated around the sun gear. When the sun gear rotates in a reverse direction, the rotating member stops rotating and allows the planetary gears to rotate on axes thereof to a plurality of predetermined positions on a path of the planetary gear that pivotally rotates. Each of the recesses and projections has a specific width. A sensor switch that detects the recesses and the projections at a predetermined position is provided. By the gear changing device, rotating directions of the sun gear can be switched at an appropriate timing and operation modes can be smoothly changed.
