摘要： A nonvolatile semiconductor memory device includes a memory cell array where a plurality of memory cell layers having a plurality of first and second wires which cross each other and a memory cell provided at each intersection of these first and second wires are laminated on top of each other, wherein the memory cells have a variable resistance element and a non-ohmic element laminated in the direction in which the memory cell layers are laminated and tapered in such a manner that the area in a cross section gradually becomes smaller from the bottom memory cell layer towards the top memory cell layer, and the variable resistance element and the non-ohmic element in the memory cells in a certain memory cell layer are laminated in the same order as the variable resistance element and the non-ohmic element of the memory cells in another memory cell layer.

A counter counts prints output by the apparatus with the replaceable part. A memory and a first nonvolatile memory are built in the apparatus body. A controller writes a limit number of prints particular to the replaceable part in the first nonvolatile memory, stores, after image forming operation, a cumulative number of prints counted by the counter in the memory and second nonvolatile memory, and reports the time for replacing the replaceable part when the cumulative number stored in the memory exceeds the limit number of prints stored in the first nonvolatile memory.

摘要： A process cartridge including a nonvolatile memory is removably mounted to an image forming apparatus also including a nonvolatile memory. Information representative of the conditions of use of the cartridge, which varies due to repeated operation, is written to both of the two memories. On the start-up of the apparatus, the information is first read out of the memory of the apparatus. Image forming conditions are set up in accordance with the amount of remaining toner and the cumulative number of prints output, which are included in the information, so that operating conditions are optimized in order to quicken image formation. Subsequently, the information is read out of the memory of the process cartridge and compared with the data stored in the memory of the apparatus. If the two data do not compare equal, then the data of the memory of the apparatus is updated in order to set new operating conditions.

摘要： A cleaning unit includes a first blade and a second blade. The first blade is in contact with an image carrier or a paper carrier and removes adhered substances remained on surface of these. The second blade has an abrasive layer that is formed by including abrasive particles in an elastic material and is disposed in the downstream side of the first blade.
