摘要： Methods are provided for making ceramic preforms having two-dimensional interconnected channels therein. The methods include (i) positioning a sacrificial material having a selected profile within a bed of ceramic powder; (ii) compacting the bed of ceramic powder to form a compacted mass; (iii) heating the compacted mass to thermally transform the sacrificial materials into a fluid without cracking the compacted mass; and (iv) removing the fluid from the compacted mass, thereby leaving a two-dimensional network of interconnected channels having the selected profile of the sacrificial material within the compacted mass. Ceramic preforms are also provided which include a compacted mass of ceramic powder and two-dimensional interconnected channels therein.

摘要： A system and method for exterior projection lighting of a vehicle include a generally ellipsoidal faceted reflector disposed on a rear side of a projection lens. First and second focal points of each facet define corresponding reflector focal regions. A semi-conducting light source positioned at an acute angle, such as a single light emitting diode (LED) without a primary optic, emits light toward the reflector from within the first reflector focal region. Reflected light passes through the projection lens to illuminate a desired beam pattern. A curved shade disposed between the projection lens and the light source has at least a portion of a top edge disposed within the second reflector focal region. The shade blocks a portion of reflected light from extending below the optical axis.

The host member contains a pair of arm elements rotatably connected to the base members. The paddle wheel member contains an axle whose two ends are pin-joined to the arm elements, respectively. Therefore, the axle is rotatably configured across the arm elements, and across the base members. An end of the axle is configured with a first transmission element. The power generation member has a second transmission element at its input end engaged by the first transmission element.When the axle is turned and the first transmission element spins synchronously, the second transmission element of the power generation member is engaged to spin synchronously and the power generation member is driven to produce electricity.
