    • A latch includes an angled bracket having a front flange and a rear flange, each flange defining a hole, a cylindrical bolt having a front end and a rear end with an orthogonal bolt handle located intermediate of the front and rear ends, and a coil spring. The angled bracket includes at least two substantially orthogonal contiguous sides which extend from the front flange to the rear flange where these sides contain a substantially U-shaped slot, a portion of which lies on one of the sides and a portion of which lies on the other side. The bolt is arranged relative to the angled bracket such that the bolt handle extends through the slot and the ends of the bolt extend through the respective holes in the flanges. The spring is arranged coaxial to the bolt and biases the bolt forward to a latched position. In order to move the bolt to the unlatched position, the bolt must be both rotated and translated for the bolt handle to move through the U-shaped slot. The substantially U-shaped slot is preferably formed with an additional forward bend so that the bolt must be translated, rotated, and translated again to be moved from the latched position to an unlatched position. The angled bracket is preferably formed with five sides and is provided with mounting holes for attaching it to a cage. The disclosed bolt is formed as a stepped cylinder to provide a point of annular engagement with the spring.

    • A removable bird feeding bowl has an upper lip and a circumferential locking surface which is spaced below the upper lip. According to a first embodiment, the locking surface includes two diametrically opposed detents spaced below the upper lip of the bowl. The bowl may be used with an existing supporting ring by snapping the bowl into the ring. According to a second embodiment, the locking surface includes a helical ridge having the form of a screw thread. The bowl may be used with an existing supporting ring by placing the bottom of the bowl into the ring until the helical ridge engages the ring and then twisting the bowl so that the helical ridge makes a screw-like connection with the supporting ring. The upper lip of the bowl stops the bowl from rotating through the ring. According to a third embodiment, a removable bird feeding bowl and support ring assembly is provided. The bowl is substantially the same as the first embodiment and the ring is provided with a pair of diametrically opposed cut-outs which allow the detents on the bowl to pass through the ring. The bowl is placed in the ring by aligning the detents with the cutouts. When the upper lip of bowl contacts the ring, the bowl is rotated so the detents are move out of alignment with the cut-outs and thereby prevent the bowl from being lifted out of the ring.

    • Systems and methods for dynamically integrating disparate computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems are disclosed. The systems and methods provide bi-directional interoperability between disparate CAD systems and maintain stateful ongoing interactions between interconnected CAD systems. Information objects in one CAD system are associated and bound to related objects in other CAD systems through a centralized information hub that transforms data items intelligently to facilitate communication and interaction between the CAD systems connected to the hub. The described systems and methods maintain complete and current perspectives of all relevant information for each CAD system connected to the information hub, thereby eliminating the need for point-to-point intelligence maintained by the CAD systems about the other interconnected CAD systems. As information updates are passed from CAD systems to the information hub and back out to other CAD systems, the information hub transforms and evaluates the information updates ensuring that only necessary information updates are forwarded.
