    • A system is disclosed in which a geographic area of interest can be selected, and photographic images of the selected area can be downloaded and displayed by a user in an efficient and timely manner. The geographic area of interest may initially be selected by various input means such as a map, longitude/latitude coordinates, a global positioning system (GPS), and the like. Once the particular geographic area has been selected, photographic images corresponding to the selected area are downloaded to the user. The photographic images may be stored in a suitable data storage system such as a server. Alternatively, the photographic image data may be generated real time and downloaded to the user. In one embodiment, a relatively low resolution image of a large geographic area is initially displayed to the user, and the user can then select a limited region of the image for closer viewing. The limited region of the photographic image may then be downloaded to the user in a higher resolution format, thereby reducing the amount of high resolution data that must be transmitted to the user. Various display devices may be used, such as personal data assistants (PDAs), laptop computers, desktop computers, vehicle-mounted computers, tablets, cell phones and the like. The display device may also be used as the input device to both select the geographic area of interest and display the photographic images of the selected area.

The geographic information may include photographic images, radar, radio transmission, cell phone transmission, time sequenced images, ground moving target information, air moving target information, maritime moving target information, red or blue force identification and/or potential hazard areas information. The geographic information may be stored in a suitable data storage system such as a server. Alternatively, the geographic information may be generated real time and downloaded to the user. In one embodiment, the geographic information includes photographic images and a relatively low resolution image of a large geographic area is initially displayed to the user. The user can then select a limited region of the photographic image for closer viewing. The limited region of the photographic image may then be downloaded to the user in a higher resolution format, thereby reducing the amount of high resolution data that must be transmitted to the user. Various display devices may be used, such as personal data assistants (PDAs), laptop computers, desktop computers, vehicle-mounted computers, tablets, cell phones and the like. The display device may also be used as the input device to both select the geographic area of interest and display the photographic images or other geographic information of the selected area.

    • A stabilizer system creates a temporary droop to stabilize a governor for an internal combustion engine and reduce permanent droop and hunting of the engine. The governor adjusts the position of a throttle in response to engine speed to achieve a desired engine speed. The stabilizer system temporarily applies a force on the governor that initially resists sudden movement of the governor arm, and causes a temporary speed droop. The initial resistance of the stabilizer system helps prevent the governor from overshooting the desired speed and hunting. The temporary droop is then removed to permit the governor to achieve the desired speed to help prevent permanent droop.

    • The correct handover position between the gripper and the e-chuck is located using a light source and a 2-D photosensor. As the e-chuck is in the loading position it can be driven forwards or backwards in the beam direction by rotating the main whisper scan rotor. The line drawn across the 2-D array by a spot of light from the light source passing through a hole in a flag attached to the e-chuck is recorded. Similarly, the line drawn by a spot of light from the same source passing through a hole in the flag attached to the gripper is also recorded. The point of intersection is the ideal transfer point. For transfer the e-chuck is then driven to this point which can be checked from the 2-D sensor. The gripper is then also driven to the same point and alignment can be checked using the light source and sensor. The hole in the gripper flag may be somewhat smaller than the hole in the e-chuck flag so that proper alignment is assured when the illuminated spot on the 2-D sensor is at the target position for the e-check but has the dimension or total brightness corresponding to the smaller hole of the gripper.

    • A universal fixture for holding printed circuit board assemblies during stencil printing and other PCB assembly processes. In one embodiment, a universal printed circuit board holder has a plurality of supports adapted to be moveably connected to a platform of a printed circuit board processing machine. Each support has a connection end for engaging the platform, a support end to support a first side of a printed circuit board populated with components, and an attachment element at the support end to releasably hold the PCB to the support. The connection ends of the supports are moveably attachable to the platform at a plurality of different positions to selectively locate the attachment elements in alignment with support points on the first side of the printed circuit board. Accordingly, the universal printed circuit board holder preferably supports the populated first side of the printed circuit board in a manner that allows the second side to be manipulated by the printed circuit board processing machine.
