摘要： A signal coding apparatus, which is coupled, via a transmission path, to a receiver having a receiver buffer and a decoder, includes a coding unit for coding a signal and outputting information generated in a frame unit, the information being a coded signal. The apparatus also includes a transmitter buffer for temporarily storing the information, and a controller for controlling an amount of the information on the basis of a storage capacity of the receiver buffer and an amount of the information which is contained in a frame per a unit time. There is also provided a method used in the above coding apparatus, and a signal coding transmission system employing the signal coding apparatus.

摘要： A novel monophosphate and a novel diphosphate prepared by a phosphatidyl transfer reaction of a phospholipid and an alcohol in the presence of phospholipase D are disclosed. The phosphates can independently or together form small and stable liposomes which can include active components therein. 摘要： A supported platinum alloy electrocatalyst for an acid electrolyte fuel cell, said electrocatalyst consisting essentially of an electrically conductive powdery carbon carrier and dispersed in, and deposited on, the carrier, an ordered platinum-iron-copper ternary alloy comprising 40 to 60 atomic percent of platinum, 13 to 40 atomic percent of iron and 13 to 40 atomic percent of copper. The electrocatalyst has much better initial activity and lifetime than conventional platinum alone or multi-components alloy electrocatalysts. A process for producing the supported platinum alloy electrocatalyst which comprises depositing copper on a previously formed platinum-iron supported binary ordered alloy, again subjecting the product to an alloying treatment, or depositing iron on the platinum-copper supported binary alloy and then again subjecting the product to an alloying treatment. An electrode for an acid electrolyte fuel cell having an excellent output performance and a long operating life is also provided which comprises the above supported platinum alloy electrocatalyst and a water-repellent binder which are bonded to an electrically conductive and acid-resistant supporting member.

摘要： A digital still camera includes an amplification circuit, a timing generator, sample hold circuits, a differential amplifier, an analog/digital conversion circuit and a control unit. The generator generates a first-pulse signal and a second-pulse signal at different timings. The circuits sample analog video signals outputted from the amplification circuit at timings when the first-pulse signal and second-pulse signal, respectively, are provided and hold levels of the analog video signals. The amplifier acquires a difference between the levels of the analog video signals. The circuit obtains a digital video signal corresponding to the analog video signal on the basis of the difference. The unit changes the timings to provide the first- and second-pulse signals to the first- and second-sample hold circuits, respectively, and a bias current depending on the driving period.
